Yeah. Maybe I went a bit overboard but I don't think these guys have had friends and family killed because morons were drunk or high on the road.

Aakon, some laws are stupid. DUI laws aren't.
I totally agree with you on the DUI laws. I WONT drive drunk ever.

Thats when you **** up peoples lives.
No, this is the most stupid fucking thing I have ever heard. Your driving instructor needs his head repeatedly applied to a hot grill until his eyes pop from the heat, then a large sign saying "Retard" bolted to the back of his head, hopefully penetrating the part of the brain controlling motor function. driving drunk =/= driving high

Angmar 11-28-2007 07:33 PM

It's as simple as this: being high hinders your judgment, if you drive while high you are not going to be as good of a driver when you are not. It could be something as simple as running a stop light to cause and accident or hit a pedestrian, just don't drive while high.

Yep, that nailed it perfectly.

As much as I love smoking, i'd never do it and drive.
Also. You make think your a better driver when your high, but thats you just being high, but i like driving stoned :)
Regardless of whether you like it or not, it should be avoided at all costs. Just plain old getting high on your own is your thing, just don't take it to the road where you risk others lives in the process.

Even if it is easier than driving drunk it should still not be done. Ever.

No, I'm serious. Guy's a dickhead who shouldn't be instructing others on how to drive.
driving drunk =/= driving high
It's the exact same thing. Saying they're different is like saying murder != assassination.
Also. You make think your a better driver when your high, but thats you just being high, but i like driving stoned :)
Yeah but this is even worse, you know you're driving impaired, but you still do it.

Explain how.
He didn't know I was high, he just happened to point out that I was driving better than normal whenever I was high.
Ok, then I take back all I said about him and apply it to you.
Jason's hate list:

Ever since that American Driver's Ed instructor touched me ... I was just a kid, man! :( :upset:

Aakon_Keetreh 11-28-2007 07:38 PM

I try to limit my driving though. Like no more than 5 minutes away if that makes any difference...

Angmar 11-28-2007 07:39 PM
no, they really aren't the same thing.
So? Even if driving high is easier you still are not going to be a good driver. Regardless of whether "you know how to do it right" you never know when you're high. Bottom line is you should stay off the road if there is a chance of endangering someone else.

Lunch 11-28-2007 07:39 PM

different chemicals = different influences on your body and mind

good ol' MX druggies vs. non-druggies debate doesn't go anywhere anyway. I think you guys all smoke much better weed than I've ever smoked or something because no one else seems to be able to function when they are "high".

pate 11-28-2007 07:39 PM

Jason speaks ultimate truths.

Okay, different effects, but you're still impaired.

gmoneyguy 11-28-2007 07:40 PM

Jason have you ever been smoked pot before?

ATM 11-28-2007 07:40 PM

I never said I drive better, but in a situation where I am driving stoned, I can drive pretty normal.

Riva 11-28-2007 07:41 PM
different chemicals = different influences on your body and mind
It still influences you. Which is why they call it driving under the influence. And if you try to say that it has no effect on you, then why do you take it?

Angmar 11-28-2007 07:41 PM
Okay, different effects, but you're still impaired.

It still influences you. Which is why they call it driving under the influence. And if you try to say that it has no effect on you, then why do you take it?
Clearly I'm not saying it has no effect on me. Your argument here is like saying being angry and confused are the same because they are both emotions.

Riva 11-28-2007 07:42 PM
Jason have you ever been smoked pot before?
Yes, and I didn't see the point. But this isn't about doing drugs, I don't proselytise about that. I am specifically arguing against driving whilst stoned or drunk.
I never said I drive better, but in a situation where I am driving stoned, I can drive pretty normal.
Yeah, I misinterpreted what you said, but even so it's still not a good thing to do.

They both affect your ability to think rationally yes. Isn't that what I'm arguing about?

Lunch 11-28-2007 07:45 PM

or they can not effect your ability to think rationally

driving drunk is never a good idea, unfortunately it's something I've done my fair share of times. Driving "high" to people here seems to carry this stigma that I'm driving around with the munchies, geeking out and failing to notice the world around me, when that's simply not true. Driving drunk and driving high are not the same thing and no argument about "they're both influences on your body" is going to outweight the amount of personal experience I've had with each.

Angmar 11-28-2007 07:47 PM
or they can not effect your ability to think rationally
Umm, unless you think completely rationally while high (which no one does) then there is no reason for you to be on the road.
