They're ok, but I prefer Gang Of Four.

Sorry, I just had to :upset:

I need to get another Gang of Four album besides Entertainment!

Solid Gold maybe?

Daniel! 12-06-2005 11:53 PM

I fail at spelling.

Little Man being Erased 12-06-2005 11:55 PM

Yeah, but seriously, you should go and get Entertainment! immediately.

I actually liked Solid Gold more than Entertainment the couple times I've heard it, I don't own it though. But I'd recommend it.

Daniel! 12-06-2005 11:58 PM

Whenever I see Entertainment! at a store it's really expensive. But thats no excuse because I can easily download it.

Glitterati 12-07-2005 12:04 AM

When I grow up, I can only hope to be one quarter as badass as Dick Dale.

Robert Crumb 12-07-2005 12:15 AM

Indeed. There are very few people who can pull off the name Dick.

Yeah dude, I didn't shave all semester. It was a test of my ability to someday be a rabbi.

br3ad_man 12-07-2005 03:33 AM

I need to watch South Park more often. On Monday night they showed the episode where the hippies took over South Park with a jam band festival. Anyone else seen that one?

biografiend 12-07-2005 07:45 AM

I've seen it. I really like the one where Cartman starts a Christian band.

Kyle 12-07-2005 08:44 AM

Is that where they have the jokes about black people playing bass, if so that ones funny.

JonM 12-07-2005 10:53 AM

Yeah that's a fantastic episode. NPC would like it a lot.

Happymeal 12-07-2005 10:54 AM

I like the Lemmiwinks(sp?) episode and the one with the Crips and Bloods getting along in a community center.

South Park is a brilliant show. It's underrated and lots of people push it aside as juvenile, but they ignore the political and social commentaries. I've even purchased all the season DVDs (6 so far...) I'm excited to see the final episode of this season tonight!

It looks like he's going to fit in just fine around here.

oh no!

just when you think the obsessive n00b scene has died down a whole new group of them appear from nowhere. Run for your lives!

I would actually argue that the show was funnier when this stuff was LESS prominant. The first through third seasons are where it's at, without a doubt.

That's interesting, I definitely prefer the later seasons to the first few. The first few seasons are still enjoyable but I find more to appreciate in the later episodes.

Kyle 12-07-2005 04:56 PM

My favorite bits are (I think it's the first series) where they have the interview with Matt Stone and Trey Parker before each episode, it's hillarious when they keep stroking the dog "old scratch".

Nah, in retrospect the first two seasons were really lame. The animation was horrible and the only creativity went into how many ways they could kill Kenny. I think the show was great when they moved the focus away from all the Kenny-killing, but before they laid on the social commentary too thick.

That's why I've really enjoyed the most recent batch of episodes. The whale one last week, or the one with the gingers. Not so topical that they become dated after a month, but keeping with the show's evolving sense of humor.

Glitterati 12-07-2005 09:55 PM

I have an unhealthy obsession with the New York Dolls.
