I actually liked [i]Solid Gold[/i] more than [i]Entertainment[/i] the couple times I've heard it, I don't own it though. But I'd recommend it.

Whenever I see Entertainment! at a store it's really expensive. But thats no excuse because I can easily download it.

I need to watch South Park more often. On Monday night they showed the episode where the hippies took over South Park with a jam band festival. Anyone else seen that one?

I've seen it. I really like the one where Cartman starts a Christian band.

Is that where they have the jokes about black people playing bass, if so that ones funny.

Yeah that's a fantastic episode. NPC would like it a lot.

I like the Lemmiwinks(sp?) episode and the one with the Crips and Bloods getting along in a community center.

South Park is a brilliant show. It's underrated and lots of people push it aside as juvenile, but they ignore the political and social commentaries. I've even purchased all the season DVDs (6 so far...) I'm excited to see the final episode of this season tonight!

I would actually argue that the show was funnier when this stuff was LESS prominant. The first through third seasons are where it's at, without a doubt.

That's interesting, I definitely prefer the later seasons to the first few. The first few seasons are still enjoyable but I find more to appreciate in the later episodes.

My favorite bits are (I think it's the first series) where they have the interview with Matt Stone and Trey Parker before each episode, it's hillarious when they keep stroking the dog "old scratch".

Nah, in retrospect the first two seasons were really lame. The animation was horrible and the only creativity went into how many ways they could kill Kenny. I think the show was great when they moved the focus away from all the Kenny-killing, but before they laid on the social commentary too thick.

That's why I've really enjoyed the most recent batch of episodes. The whale one last week, or the one with the gingers. Not so topical that they become dated after a month, but keeping with the show's evolving sense of humor.
