do you like Alexisonfire?

LifeInABox 08-25-2007 10:02 PM

- respect if the answer = yes.

Tyler 08-25-2007 11:35 PM

I like alexisonfire. They're not metalcore though. Nice guys even though they kicked their old drummer out for no apparent reason other than he was flaming as hell.

i am the robots 08-26-2007 12:10 AM

Haha.
do you like Alexisonfire?
Not really, what relevance does this have to Rifles At Recess?

illpressureurhinges1 08-26-2007 12:41 AM

i dont think it had any relevance, mayb he was just curious

thats kinda sad... having an emotional breakdown onstage at a concert...

i am the robots 08-26-2007 05:06 PM

The performance is so ****ing intense though.
thats kinda sad... having an emotional breakdown onstage at a concert...
I have ultimate respect for that guy and I don't even know who he is.

illpressureurhinges1 08-26-2007 05:10 PM

the performance is intense, but seriously... i dont think ppl wanna go to a show to watch a guy breakdown onstage. it kinda like brings the energy down and might even turn ppl away from the music

Dimmu Burger 08-26-2007 05:26 PM

Who is that in the video? Youtube is blocked on my work computer.

some band called Rifles at Recess. it shows the singer before the song starts talking about himself getting sexually molested as a child and he has this big old emotional breakdown, and then kinda makes up for it with this intense as hell performance

Yeah, so far, that's a good album.

Anyone have Unloved & Weeded Out?

You should check out the whole album, You Come Before You. It's brilliant.

You Come Before You is a sick album. Tear From The Red was pretty sick too. Versions was kind of a disappointment tho...

I like Versions, just in a different way than the previous albums. It's more moody and has more instruments.

illpressureurhinges1 08-26-2007 06:12 PM

yah... but they kinda drifted away from what made them so memorable in their previous ones. i understand progression, but they went too soft for me

I can understand that. I don't listen to it as much as the other albums, mainly because I'm rarely in the mood for something a little more mellow.

same here. i prefer heavy, anger stuff that gets me pumped. not mellow stuff, that like gets me down. im not saying its a bad album, i just prefered the ones before it

I have it. I was listening through it for the first time :thumb: Versions pwns TFTR.

I prefer Tear From The Red because of its energy, but both are very good.

illpressureurhinges1 08-26-2007 08:25 PM

how is Versions better than Tear From The Red?

LifeInABox 08-26-2007 08:26 PM

The Opposite Of December > Versions > Tear From The Red.

When I have made judgement on YCBY, I'll update that.

masscows 08-26-2007 08:26 PM

Wasn't Tear From The Red written in like 2-3 weeks?

Tyler 08-26-2007 08:27 PM

YCBY is their best

LifeInABox 08-26-2007 08:27 PM
Wasn't Tear From The Red written in like 2-3 weeks?
I wouldn't be surprised. It's a good album, but not up to what other stuff they have done.

Dimmu Burger 08-26-2007 08:38 PM
I wouldn't be surprised. It's a good album, but not up to what other stuff they have done.
Eh, its probably my favorite of thiers, tied with YCBY.

illpressureurhinges1 08-26-2007 08:43 PM

i think its YCBY, then TFTR, then TOOD, and then Versions... Versions was weak in my opinion

Concubine 08-26-2007 08:52 PM

ugh Tear From The Red is really weak and boring

LifeInABox 08-26-2007 08:52 PM

It's ok.

illpressureurhinges1 08-26-2007 08:54 PM

it has some pretty interesting songs. Versions is the weakest. they kinda dropped off on the heavyness, and that was like the key reason i liked them before.

LifeInABox 08-26-2007 08:55 PM

Uhhh, it's more diverse. They started to diverse at YCBY I think, and finished with Versions.
