its true. theres so much better **** out there. the only thing that sigur ros does that i like on even the smallest level is their use of vocals solely as another instrument of melody. its kind of refreshing. but they are just really fluffy, and boring.
sweek can do that whole patient, serene, sweeping thing better than sigur ros can. the only thing is sweek knows how to switch it up from time to time, and are thus much more interesting to listen to. sickoakes comes to mind as well. |
i dunno nepenthe ( ) is probably my favorite post-rock album its pretty much awesome in a bag of awesome
( ) is great, Untitled 4 is amazing.
that just not my sort of bag
The only thing I don't like about ( ) is track 5. That track's kinda boring. 7 drags on a bit too, but it's pretty good.

Best song easily
The only thing I don't like about ( ) is track 5. That track's kinda boring. 7 drags on a bit too, but it's pretty good.
i completely agree. 5 is average, and 7 is a bit long. Thats why it gets a 4.5 versus a 5 imo |
8 is definitely the best song on ( ). I love that riff at the beginning.
Second favorite track.
Oh and when it speeds up at the end and the album climaxes...**** yes |
The album should just be listened to as a whole, like one big song. Their new record is really awesome too. Such an awesome new sound for them.
Their new album is mediocre. At least all the other songs weren't as bad as Gobbledigook or whatever. Holy **** that song is annoying.
Yeah their new album is pretty forgettable.
the album art isnt
Someone recommend me a post rock album as good as () and I'll go download it right away.

<3 Toe. I have The New Sentimentality EP and something titled 'Songs, Ideas We Forgot EP' but that I got off a friend - don't know if it's a legit release. Have they released anything else recently or before? I don't seem to have the determination and/or internet capabilities(Hi, dialup!) to access Google as my terribly necessary pornographic experience is already limited to a rate of 7 pictures of women per ~6/hours. ;/ |

You're a grump. And uniqueness does have a bit to do with quality, just doesn't always correspond. |
Kage has become a bitter old man as of late. :(
Yeah, I remember old kage...he was such a nice little boy.
Most post rock pisses me off a lot now.
I don't really bother looking for new stuff. Human Bell is a band I recently enjoyed from this genre. |
Why's that?
human bell is absolutely amazing. theyre like an acoustic doom band. epthapthathpa or whoever the **** is opening the gates or whatever is an incredible song.
