He usually only performs acoustic when there's an after-party when he's extremely drunk or when he has to kill time while they set up. Either way, it usually involves him getting hit with things thrown from the crowd (which they got used to at a young age, because it apparently happened pretty intensely when they opened for Korn/Bizkit 5 or so years ago).
omg. where can i find that stuff for download. that sounds hilarious. also can you send me the one about winter? basically i want anything you can give me because the stuff on the purevolume is hysterical. |
Can't wait to see these guys along with Unearth on the UK Never Say Die tour in November. Best two bands on the lineup.
Going to be awesome to see Arif's bass skills in person.
which un are you gunna be at then son ? |
That was something I actually had to look up because my friend got the tickets.
We're going to the Yeovil one. |
That interview of arif and rody where some black presenter makes the whole interview about rody calling arif a 'sand ******' is hilarious. Just purely for the fact the bloke is a massive bellend and Arif is the one sticking up for rody.
That's MuchMusic for you. The guy interviewing them is actually a cool dude, he's just really bad at his job. |
The link to Arif's interview died.

Long live the old PtH thread!!!

Among friends, they've always been Pizzle. Don't ask why.
|
they're playing HOB in hollywood on the 14th! buying tickets probably today, if they're not sold out
|
I saw them with The Devil Wears Prada.
They were kinda meh, but I want to see them again to make sure it just wasn't a bad night. |
Yeah they played really well when I saw them, but not particularly energetic. I still loved it.
|
I'll have to catch them the next time around. I didn't know who they were when I saw them, but I got the gist that they were good, but they just didn't sound good that night.
|
I've never seen them not look energetic, I mean they don't necessarily flail around like idiots (anymore) a lot of the time but they're always pretty into it. Well, Moe looks asleep sometimes (he's really high) and Luke sometimes stands around with his mouth wide open, but still.
If they were flat with TDWP, it's probably because they were playing with TDWP. |
which is why they dropped off the tour.
|
lol true.

Are you talking about that "These Colours..." era wankery? |
Yeah. Pre-Kezia they went absolutely aaaaaaaaaape **** on stage. I remember one show where Arif was hanging from the ceiling, Rody was in the crowd, it was nuts. That was the night Arif played bass behind his neck and Rody hit a security guard in the face with a mic. But as stuff gets more complex they cant really be doing frontflips on stage.
|
can't
or won't |
Both. As they get even more comfortable with Fortress stuff they'll start doing more though.
|
yeah, i am seeing them this november and i fully expect them all to drop trou and squeeze one out during one of the epic parts
|
hahahah, you'll probably get some scissor kicks and they'll probably tap on each other's guitar during some parts.
|
scissoring and tapping
i like where this is going |
I'm liking A Calculated Use of Sound a lot...i wish they still had some of those awesomely, blatantly obvious political lyrics
|
I decided to actually buy the Fortress CD the other day after getting sick of only having it on the PC (can't burn CD's wtf).
Turns out Zavvi (ex-Virgin) only had 2 left in the country, miles away from me and it would take 2-4 weeks to order :-/ Managed to pick up the last one in HMV though so its all cool :) |
heh opeth n protest gonna be in atlanta on the same night, not that i like opeth much but i just thought i'll let u know of this coincidence
|
I'd see Protest any day tbh.

Plus you get to see all the pets Rody thanked in the liner notes. |
Hah, yeah. I was felt kind of slighted that I wasn't in the booklet, just because I was in Kezia's. But then I realize I didn't really do anything to deserve being in Kezia's. And then I realized they mostly thanked like BFFs, significant others, families, pets and inanimate objects and I was like, "awesome". As long as it wasn't a long list of industry folk, right on, I says.
|
Why were you in Kezia's?
|
Why were you in Kezia's?
123 i'm curious |
I don't know why I was in it. They just put me in. I mean I know the guys but I'm not really "friends" with them. Hang out with Arif or Tim once and a while but they're more acquaintances than anything. Like I said, no real idea why I was in it but it was pretty cool to see.
|
k cocaine, we all no u had sexual relations with them so there is no point in hiding it
|
isn't it past your bedtime?
|

That's pretty cool, I'll have to look at it. |

My buddy who I was just telling Frankie is in England right now. Most people tend to just refer to us as one person.
