It's not as bad as Todd's (Tribal's) story, where he waited almost 5 years, and didn't even get what he ordered, and then Ken wouldn't give him his money back.

I remember reading that. I just shook my head. Those kind of stories make me stay away from the idea of getting a custom bass.

Firstly that, secondly i'm not totally sure what I want in a bass. Hell, my TRB is my dream bass right now. Haven't played anything that i've liked more. But i haven't tried alot of different types of basses, just the usual fender, warwick, yamaha, ibanez.
