I'm not really into Load and Reload
Man, Mama Said is a great song. I've been really liking it lately.
Anyways, we finally nailed down FTB in Garage Band. It's apparent to me that the guy that says he can play the last solo CAN'T. This really irritates me because I'm having a hell of time trying to learn the last solo to Sanitarium, not to mention I've tried in the past to learn the last solo and It kinda scared me away. I guess I could give it a shot though. God, my soloing is really lacking as of late.
I can :D

The very last sanitarium solo or the one with wah? The very last is probably one of Kirk's easiest...

Last_Caress 10-08-2005 08:28 PM

I haven't tried Sanitarium yet, maybe I should if you say it's easy.

PepsiMetal 10-08-2005 08:57 PM

Anyone heard of the download 2004 festival where joey jordison did creeping death, and seek and destroy? Man, his beats are 10 times better than lars'. He did other songs too but he basically played lars' beats there.
Yo metallica gang. I've really been diggin 'Bad Seed' lately. Anyone else like it? The intro is such a head banger
Yea, that intro riff kicks lots of fucking ass. That's one of the best opening riff metallica made since like early 90s.

You can probably find it at a good bootleg site, I knew one, but I forgot it...

TheycallmeFuzzy 10-08-2005 09:02 PM

Last_Caress 10-08-2005 09:03 PM

Me too, doesn't everybody...no wait they don't, oh well, those people are uncool.

Samick 10-08-2005 09:17 PM

La Bomba?

i was just on mx tabs, looking at metallica tabs and there were 3 la bomba tabs. When did they cover that?

Samick 10-08-2005 09:20 PM
I've stated it quite a few times but anyways, I don't necessarily like Load or Reload as a whole but I really dug tunes like Devil's Dance and Bleeding me. Very nice songs.

killswitch 1337 10-08-2005 10:03 PM

yeah 90s had some cool intros like my friend of misery and stuff, but i mean their coolest intros...and this is my opinion...were in the 80s. i mean then they had awesome intros in like battery, and justice for all, fade to black, sanitarium, damage inc., ride the lightning, one, blackened, and more. i mean those were the glory days. yes metallica is good now, and their 90s stuff ruled as well, but the 80s were their glory days.

James' voice sounds pretty good on The Four Horsemen at Download 2004.

Chu 10-09-2005 01:53 AM

So it turns out, we finally got a recording :D
It's very bad quality, but I would post it if you guys wanted :p

I'd have to get permission from my drummer and Slapping Penguin though...

There's no vocals or bass, and we start a bit early (The intro is so boring without bass :p)

Sure. I'd like to hear.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2005 01:58 AM

Post it! as if listen to what dom says anyway :p

Chu 10-09-2005 02:15 AM

Dom's so much better then me
If I was to just post without his permission, he might leave the band, and that would suck, he's like the driving power behind us  :upset:

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2005 02:46 AM

What type of metal do you play?

Chu 10-09-2005 03:01 AM

Metallica

But we plan on doing Opeth-like music eventually :D

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2005 03:04 AM

:thumb:

I'll force Dom to give me some of your recordings through a barrage of MSN nudges and those musical smiley things. He loves those.

Chu 10-09-2005 03:20 AM

 Thank God he doesn't have any of them

Joe 10-09-2005 10:19 AM

CHU! You killed the thread! Page 3?!?!?!

Anyways, yea post it! What song is it? something original or a cover?
If I was to just post without his permission, he might leave the band, and that would suck, he's like the driving power behind us
Anyone else in MX in your band?

darrell 10-09-2005 10:23 AM

How does Metallica play the intro to Blackened live?

I tried d/ling a video of them playing it, but it didn't work.

They have a tape intro.

I have a feeling it's either recorded or there's one of their technicians controlling the volume once he gets input from the guitars.

Lol, great timing
NP: Blackened from the MIAWTW tour

darrell 10-09-2005 10:27 AM
That's one of the songs on ReLoad that i don't like.(and i like almost all the album)

But it seems everyone else like it.
Bad Seed? Nah, I don't really like it either. I hate that "Ladies and Gentlemen" part and sound clips of him choking.

I do like the majority of Load and ReLoad, although it is quite different than than old stuff, which I also like. A lot of the lyrics aren't as good in their newer songs, although there are some really good ones (in my opinion) such as The Unforgiven II, Fixxxer, and Until it Sleeps.

Just For Whom The Bell Tolls. (Yeah been working on it so long :p)

Slapping Penguin who I met through MX  is our Lead Guitarist, I am Rhythm, and my younger brother (He's 17) is the Drummer, we don't have a Bassist as of yet, but hopefully :D

Me and my brother have really only been taking music seriously for the past 4 months or so (Well I've been playing guitar for a bit longer), so yeah, nothing pro here :p

We have a few recordings, one which is probably the best quality, we nail almost CD-Perfectness, but this other recording with improvised solos all over the shop, and different drums, sort of like our original take on FWTBT :D

I dunno which to post, I also have a recording of Slapping Penguin playing Demon of The Fall, and just screwing around on his guitar :p

Britton 10-09-2005 05:37 PM

I would love to hear you're work. I promise if I'm critical it will constructive.

I've been playing sense january. My soloing is getting better if I stay in
my limits. It's sounding great. We had a beautiful practice today. our drummer
is so awsome. We are gonne record sometime soon.

I've been burnt out on Metallica for week or two. I've been playing lots
of AX7.

Joe 10-09-2005 07:36 PM

Yes! I want to hear the recording. I'll do the same as Britton, just constructive stuff
