I only though it was Geddy when I first glanced at it, but after that I could tell it was John.

March 31, got my tix today.

slowhand 03-26-2005 04:01 PM

So...

Beck, Clapton or Page: Who's the better of the British top 3 guitar heroes?

Badmoon 03-26-2005 04:03 PM

Technically, Beck.

slowhand 03-26-2005 04:09 PM

All around...?

jpj 03-26-2005 04:11 PM

How am I supposed to choose? :(

slowhand 03-26-2005 04:18 PM

Well, you like some things more than other things... Why should it be any different for a guitarist?

jpj 03-26-2005 04:22 PM
Well, you like some things more than other things... Why should it be any different for a guitarist?
But I don't know which I like more. I'll say Clapton.

I don't really like their version of that song ... Out of Focus is better.

magicbus 03-26-2005 04:31 PM

I like Clapton the best. He's the most blues influenced in my opinion, and has variation with his different bands. Don't get me wrong, I love Jeff Beck too, but Beck's music is usually on the funkier, sometimes futuristic (maybe?) side. That stuff is cool too, but I'm a blues guy.

As for Page, I like how he rocks out, but he's a bit sloppy, and not the most creative guy when it comes to solos. (he rules at writing riffs).
I don't really like their version of that song ... Out of Focus is better.
I like Rush's version better.

Drumma 03-26-2005 04:36 PM

I dont really like all the new music, i stick to all the classics e.g acdc, ramones, clash, led zep, motorhead etc.

magicbus 03-26-2005 04:38 PM

Who's diggin the drum fills on Sunshine of Your Love, especially during chorus and solo?

I am.

slowhand 03-26-2005 04:40 PM

That's the best part of the song (and I'm a guitarist).

I always think of Sunshine of Your Love as a drummer's song.
I dont really like all the new music, i stick to all the classics e.g acdc, ramones, clash, led zep, motorhead etc.
Motorhead...??

Glitterati 03-26-2005 04:42 PM

I haven't heard much of Beck, and I'm not a huge fan of Clapton, so Page.

Badmoon 03-26-2005 04:49 PM
All around...?
What are the other categories?

slowhand 03-26-2005 04:50 PM
What are the other categories?
Originality, versatility, you know, things along those lines.

Badmoon 03-26-2005 04:54 PM

Orginiality - Page...

Versatility - Beck
Originality - Beck
Composition - Clapton
