It's a module/course, called The Samurai and the Sacred. It's a course in the history and traditions of religion in Japan, so it covers Shinto, Buddhism (all the different sects, Zen, etc), the ikko ikke, Jizo (and all the other kami), the tea ritual, kamikaze pilots, Christianity, shrines, temples, the samurai and the death cult, and so on, etc. Even better, the lecturer is this guy from the midlands, and more or less his entire life is the study of Japan; he's written many books on it (his 50th comes out later this year), and every point (and I mean [i]every[/i] point, every piece of information) is punctuated by numerous slides of pictures he's personally taken (including a huge stone dildo, in the first week) and innumerable anecdotes.

Basically it's incredibly interesting, and also happens to be great fun. I'll be recording the lectures, with luck, so I may even be able to host them for you.
