'sup?
i just came back from my Morbid Angel concert... they were 5times better live than i thought. amazing! 3support bands from vienne. 8 guitarist and 8 different playing techniques. the 3rd bands guitarist used an arm technique i thought is the worst a guitar player can do, but it works for him. even the MA guitarist used a left and right hand technique which would hurt my hand... i don't know why other can play that way and i cannot... well this sucks. /have now headache /gn8 |
123 for Bodom Beach Terror, it's fun and snappy
Chokehold is pretty fun, but I've never stuck with it. That post intro chord riff is great to play. edit: as for TCHB, It's not very hard. Just takes a bit of practice on the main riff and you're set. |
Cool man, any pics or anything like that?
|
i bought one t-shirt and i tried to make 3 photos but both were blurred so i didn't make any more.
so no, nothing. not this time... i was in the first row on the beginning with a friend but because it was so loud i went backwards (my tinnitus, you know ... i don't want to risk anything). my friend stayed and was 1metre in front of eric rutan and i was somwhere in the middle till last 1/3 of the room :upset: |
Awesome Ghost! Which and how many songs did they play?
|

I was in the second row directly in front of Trey. He is the man. |
the started with 2 new songs i didn't know and then they played
MAZE OF TORMENT (my fav song by them). after the song they asked how many of us does know "Altars of Madness" and said, that they will play a hell lot songs from it! so you can imagine the rest of the stetlist some good 50% of their songs were taken from Altars of Madness... it was a wonderful setlist. |
When I saw them, they played all the usual stuff from Altars, plus Dominate, Where The Slime Live, Rapture, God of Emptiness, Day of Suffering, et al.

Trey stucked in the 80s - especially his hairs  but Eric Rutan was ... wow... this man has an aura... i have never seen a person that looks and plays and act so full of hatred. |

but Eric Rutan was ... wow... this man has an aura... i have never seen a person that looks and plays and act so full of hatred.
And Erik's size helps out with that quite a bit as well. Trey is Buckethead, everyone should know that. |

God of Emptiness was their last song as a "throw in"
And Erik's size helps out with that quite a bit as well. Trey is Buckethead, everyone should know that.
yes his big... and his hairs. wow :) Treys solos are great... i always thought the change their solos (50%-50%) but Trey is playing most of the solos (about 80%), so Eric is more or less only the rhythm guitarist |
I don't think I've ever really listened to Morbid Angel...
Might have to do that. |

You aren't the only one. I'm quite fond of DM/BDM, but don't care much for em. |
I enjoy their first two releases alot, and Covenant is ok.
|
I also enjoy Domination a bit, mainly cause of Dominate and Where the Slime Live.
|
I've heard good things about Formulas Fatal To The Flesh too.
anyway, if you don't like Altars of Madness then you suck. |
They're CoB fanboys remember; without girly vocals, paper thin guitar tone and awful instrumental work, they ain't gonna recognise.
