Listen to Pantera, COB, Megadeth etc. Don't get me wrong I am a HUGE metallica fan, but there is definitly bands just as good as Metallica.

All a matter of opinon let's not forget. That kid just needs to stop being so one eyed and open up to the rest of the music scene. We all probably went through a stage where we thought one band was the best of the best.

When you first heard of Metallica didn't you think they were the best band ever? I know I did. They're like a gateway into metal.

I don't give a **** about opinions here. Lars just isn't good. He's been in the business for over 20 years, and still has developed no technique and no style. He's never, [i]ever[/i], played anything even remotely technical.

Kids who have been learning to play drums for 6 months to a year can play almost anything he has, and it isn't like he put skill into writing catchy simple parts. They aren't creative at all.

One of his problems is that he hardly ever practices.

and although pantera was wonderful - i liked them mostly because of dime and he's gone now. however, you show me a pantera song that beats fade to black or and justice for all. dare ya :D

One is 7 and a half minutes long. Korn wouldn't be allowed to play that. Head and Munky can solo. Just because they don't/didn't in Korn doesn't mean they can't. They are probably far better than you on guitar :p

My mate says that all the time. Take away the distortion and it's nothing. Look at Victor Wooten and John Myung for good bass solos.
