my band sucks!

Me (on synthesizers) and my friend (on electronic drumkit) had a show tonight. 11 songs in about 25 minutes, all completely improvised. We have a lot of nerve.

depending on who was watching the show it could've gone really well or really bad. some people just don't dig that kind of thing

I miss all my friends at college :(.

There weren't many people in the audience. We played first on a four band bill, so not a lot of people had showed up yet.

My dad took video of the whole set on a digital camera, but the camera was set to "compact" video, so the images to accompany the music are pretty much useless. I edited all the audio down to just music (without applause, banter, or dead air), though, and it actually sounds really good. Kind of like Miles Davis Electric plus live 60s Zappa plus Sonic Youth plus electronic indie pop.

Tears for Fears is my mom's favorite band. Tears for Fears actually admitted to liking Gary Jules' cover better than their original, which I think is a hugely ballsy move. I respect that.

He's the type of guy that brings his acoustic guitar to parties to try and get laid.

He's an excellent blues guitarist though. He's also got the very worst guitar faces I've ever seen.

Ugh, like on Crossroads. I felt embarassed for him when he made some of those faces. His album TRY! was pretty good though.

I don't hate him. I even like some of his songs. But he is a mega tool.

Gene Simmons gets more sex than that, and he's a fu[size=2]ckin'[/size] BASSIST. But that's besides the point. The only problem I have with John Mayer is his voice, it's really raspy and annoying. I like his appearance on Chappelle's show, though.
