This thread needs more Van Drunen. Had some work to do last night - Mrs Jondur was ill so went to bed early so I cranked up the stereo with some Asphyx and had a whale of a time. I reckon I'd enjoy work if I could have death metal on full volume all the time.

New Psycroptic song up on their myspace, listening now.
|
Van Drunen slays, I should get some Asphyx.

agreeeeeeeeeeeeeed I played Hornets of the Pogrom (album) in my head in its entirety at work today. It was an otherwise boring day. |

Do it. Apparently they're going to record a new album. |
yeah I heard about that too, the single they released from it is pretty decent
song title is something stupid like 'death the brutal way' though |
can't wait for some new living sacrifice
|
Ass-fix kills!
|
Should I start with The Rack?
|
Yeah
Listening to some Napalm Death. I haven't in quite a while. |
Thanks brohan!
|
Just got that new single.
I like how they do the Celtic Frost cover. I'm surprised that they decided to something off of Monotheist rather than an old classic. Death the Brutal Way is a pretty cool song too. |
I havent heard the Celtic Frost cover though the song they covered is good
|
Which Bolt Thrower album should I start with?
(Immolation - Close to a World Below really is ****ing amazing. The drumming is ridiculously good). |
Hell yeah, he's definitely the standout musician on that album.
As for Bolt Thrower start with War Master for something a little more old school sounding or Those Once Loyal for newish stuff. |
Suicide Commando FTW
agreed |
Realm of Chaos and For Victory. All of their stuff after Warmaster is pretty much the same so you can do no wrong with any of them, though For Victory is the best of that style.
Hell yeah, he's definitely the standout musician on that album.
yeah, along with the guitars, bass and vocals for sure!
|
realm of chaos (the band) is the best music ever
|
.yeah, along with the guitars, bass and vocals for sure!
Those too. :) |

listen to der elitery |
good god, what was that? Your band? I'll guess it was so I'll just say "Not my cup of tea" (because I'm nice and sensitive to other people's feelings).
Have you noticed how this thread took a turn for the better since I posted a picture of Van Drunen? |
no need to spare mappy's feelings really
|
why not
he is v v sensitive |
Yeah I liked the old Paraphilia song a lot more Maps.
._. |
HAHAHAHAH that song was hilariously bad.
|
maybe, though it's pretty inaccessible
I didn't like that album the first time around, 2nd time around I kind of liked it, 3rd time around I was crushed into hell by its unholy fury and it remains my favorite album to date
I enjoyed it first time round but I'd say Here In After is a more accessible album but maybe that's just because it was the first of them I'd heard. "DIDN'T YOU SAY JESUS WAS COMING" |
Here in After, great album.
Dawn of Possession and Close to a World Below are their best though. |
