new ash pool was good, much better than saturns slave
idk dude, to each his own, but i thought the songs were bordering on crap.

DBlitz 02-19-2010 10:39 PM

ok so does panopticon - collapse purposely have a buzzy sound (coming out of my right headphone) throughout the whole album?

rasputin 02-19-2010 10:41 PM

it shouldn't have any overbearing fuzziness. it sounds pretty good for black metal at the very least. you may have this so called shitty version that's been going around the web.

DBlitz 02-19-2010 10:52 PM

it wasn't overbearing but still. i'll download a 320 one and see how that one goes

rasputin 02-19-2010 10:55 PM

yeah, im sure there are some better rips

i'm going to rip the cd myself sometime and post it up, when i can be bothered

beans 02-19-2010 10:57 PM

i need to download new burzum, but i find myself putting it off

Gnarmageddon 02-19-2010 11:00 PM

i like new burzum
ok so does panopticon - collapse purposely have a buzzy sound (coming out of my right headphone) throughout the whole album?
That's not a buzz, that's the guitar.

DBlitz 02-19-2010 11:05 PM
yeah, im sure there are some better rips
ok so the new one i just downloaded sounds ridiculously better production-wise

beans 02-19-2010 11:05 PM

there is nothing sounding similar to a buzz in my copy of that album.

doubt its the guitars

DBlitz 02-19-2010 11:09 PM

asdf

beans 02-19-2010 11:14 PM

my copy sounds fine

i was discrediting the idea that the buzzing is the guitars

DBlitz 02-19-2010 11:16 PM

oh **** i read that you do have a similar sound on your copy

Stormrider 02-19-2010 11:51 PM

I kinda agree with Austin on this one, to a certain extent. I mean, I understand how samples could be deceiving. I completely agree with this idea. But the samples were actually great imo, and everyone else minus maybe one other person was shitting all over them...

It rules but I like the s/t and Winterkälte more.

Stormrider 02-20-2010 09:20 AM
That's not what he's saying.
Yeah.

Basically (and I haven't heard the album like most of you have by now, so maybe my opinion will change once I actually do hear it), but I really didn't see how the samples could attract as much negative comments as they did. I already said that I agree with the fact that samples could be completely misleading, and I do agree that ones opinion might change once they hear that actual thing, for the better or worse. But I'm just speaking of Belus in particular, here.

Whatever, most of you might say what I'm saying doesn't really mean anything as, like I said, I still haven't listened to the actual album hehe. And I won't anyway 'till it's released.

Anyway, Autumn Aurora is too good. Sunwheel <3 Probably my favorite on the album.

DBlitz 02-20-2010 09:30 AM

yea Automn Aurora is good - haven't listened to it in ages though but i was planning on listening to some Drudkh today since i've been in a black metal mood.

also thinking about downloading some albums i haven't heard yet, Peste Noire and Vordr came to mind, i've noticed people talking about them in this thread. any other recs? i'm not too experienced with black metal

Txus 02-20-2010 09:44 AM

Get Volahn - Dimensiónes del Trance Kósmico.

And yeah, Autumn Aurora is fantastic, I haven't been listening to much BM the past few days, think I'll do that today though. Gonna start with some Cirrhus.

Morumbar 02-20-2010 10:23 AM

Yeah, Wind Of The Night Forests is one of my favorite Drudkh songs.

So is Belus up for download somewhere yet?

DBlitz 02-20-2010 10:57 AM

yes probably everywhere, blogsearch it
Get Volahn - Dimensiónes del Trance Kósmico.
Stormrider 02-21-2010 11:55 AM

Such a good CD. I've noticed you seem to listen to it a lot!
anyone like Poccolus?

i only have Kingdom of Poccolus but it isn't half bad.
Why are you bringing them up and asking if people's heard of them if you don't think they're that great to begin with?

Txus 02-21-2010 12:06 PM

maybe he wants to hear/read other people's thoughts on the band?

Stormrider 02-21-2010 12:23 PM

Txus 02-21-2010 12:34 PM
Such a good CD. I've noticed you seem to listen to it a lot!
Yeah, it just really does it for me idk.

I have Akitsa's other albums to listen to just haven't gotten around to it yet, i've found it's best not to overindulge in too many BM releases at once.
