What is it?

negrodamus 08-13-2009 08:27 PM

Well I've been checking out 2009 BM albums and I came across this band called Meti Bhuvah. Listening to their new album right now.

I've listened to it one time through. The riffs are kinda repetitive but it was a pretty fun listen.

New Archgoat rules hard.

TricksterGRex 08-13-2009 09:23 PM
how did you like it
I'm evil, give me power
Black Metal demon back from Hell
Black candles burning bright
Blasphemy night

Black Metal thunder till your dead

We'll fight till we fall
Possessed by demon 666
But that day is comin' now
Hey let's fight

Stand up now
For the Satan
Burning Hell
Black Metal Horde

Coming down coming down
Black Metal thunder in your head

Abigail is elite.

I actually thought it was Sabbat at first, who are in fact, even more elite.

illmitch 08-13-2009 11:17 PM

i dunno about that abigail/barbatos/cutthroat are super elite

Silenius 08-14-2009 01:30 AM

Suicide In Dark Serenity was the only Xasthur song I ever thought was really good because it has the old style of riffing to it but none of the bad vocals. The new one is supposed to be blackened ambient, anyone know if this is true?

Also if you like generic DSBM, Sterbend haha.

rasputin 08-14-2009 01:56 AM

do any of you know Vordr or Ødelegger and are either of them any good?

Silenius 08-14-2009 02:34 AM

I have the Odelegger full length, it is probably most similar to Ildjarns raw black metal stuff. Really basic but I don't mind it, if you like Bilskirnirs vocals check it out.

rasputin 08-14-2009 02:36 AM

nah im just going through some local distros and i saw a vinyl of the split of the two bands for a cheap price so i was wondering if they were worth it. i won't bother if they're only okay, im not a huge fan of ildjarn anyway.

iamtherobots 08-14-2009 02:39 AM

ildjarn is bland as fuqq

rasputin 08-14-2009 02:41 AM

yeah pretty much

Silenius 08-14-2009 02:43 AM

Hmm well if it's a vinyl it's more a collectors item than anything else anyway. I dunno how many people actually play their vinyls on a regular basis.

iamtherobots 08-14-2009 02:44 AM

my bands' guitarist

rasputin 08-14-2009 02:52 AM

well i finally got a new record player and ive been playing it nonstop. need some metal vinyl though coz i got none so im gonna splurge.

getting megiddo - devil and whore, ignivomous - path of attrition, blaspherian - allegiance to the will of damnation and diocletian - decimator so far

I don't understand buying vinyl unless a release is only on that format or you are a collector. There's otherwise no real point, the quality depreciates after plays and while i do like the warm crackling sound it isn't really suited to most album that where produced with cd/mp3 as the distribution method in mind. Just my take on the whole vinyl subject. I will admit that somehow it is immensely satisfying to hear a good record on vinyl.

But some people find it tremendously hip.

iamtherobots 08-14-2009 03:32 AM

Vinyl works really well for punk.

rasputin 08-14-2009 03:32 AM

it's pretty cool tbh

Jaundice 08-14-2009 03:35 AM

it can't scrobble, though

iamtherobots 08-14-2009 03:36 AM

me and my bands' guitarist used to chill in his room and listen to spazz and oktober skyline on vinyl all the time back in the day

rasputin 08-14-2009 03:42 AM
it can't scrobble, though
im sure you'll get over it

Silenius 08-14-2009 03:45 AM

Yes it does have some sort of novelty value I guess.

Jaundice 08-14-2009 03:47 AM

I would kinda cool playing a 7" on one, I won't lie.

Silenius 08-14-2009 03:50 AM

DJing with vinyl = elite.

Anyway, black metal, erm, how's the new Drudkh?

Jaundice 08-14-2009 03:51 AM

I DJ with vinyl at the station some times, when I want to play Ministry

I'm a 90's kid though so I have a tendency to put the needle on the wrong groove, **** things up
