It's really hard to go against Fuel. Memeory Remains is terrific as well.
|
Yea, memory remains is my favorite off the load/reload. I also like fuel and unforgiven II. I would probably like more songs, but I haven't really heard load/reload's all tracks.
|
Fuel,Memory remains,Hero of the day,King nothing,Untill it sleeps
|
I would say its fuel memory remains hero of the day and unforgivenII in a 4 way tie.
|
When I saw them they played both Sanitarium and FTB. They also played Dyer's Eve.
But on the down side, they didn't play anything from KEA and they didn't play For Whom the Bell Tolls
very lucky and extremely unlucky. Seek and Destroy was very cool. I didn't see FWTBT either, but they also played tons of KEA, RTL and MOP |
Bleeding Me/Outlaw Torn/Fixxxer/Carpe Diem Baby are my favs off Load/ReLoad
|

i don't really ever use msn messenger. i found it on a google search with some writing on it and i used some editor to just make it that with a black background |
Ah, fair enough. Just wondered, as its the exact same \m/

Thats the only way to go. If they ever played new stuff, they would get booed by many people. |
I guess you haven't heard the pops for St. Anger or Frantic, then? /me rolls eyes
Also, I have a bootleg from Paris '03 where Dirty Window was played. It got a massive pop. |
Anyways... not sure if this has been asked before but... whats you guys's favorite song off load/re-load? (since their basically the same one)
Fuel The Unforgiven II The Memory Remains |
I'd have to listen to them again, haven't heard them in awhile. Fuela and The Memory Remains are up there though.
|
Where the Wild Things Are. I love that.
And what do you mean pops? Applause and loud screams? Or muchos booing? Something like that? |
Pops = applause and loud screams
|

Metallica will never get booed at their own concerts. Trus me. |
Metallica will never get booed at their own concerts. Trus me.
Exactly. And they play newer st. anger songs at almost every concert. They played frantic and st. anger in portugal and people loved it. But of course, st. anger songs do sound alot better live. |

Yeah, they do without the high-pitched snare sound. And they did a guitar solo in Dirty Window. And I know I would never boo Metallica unless they made a really shitty song.
james said in an interview that his dad passed away in 1990 or somewhere around that *doesnt remember*
It was around the Load/Reload era. 1996 I believe, just before or after Load came out. |
I dont think he cares too much, since he never really liked him
|
Well, that's all subjective. None of us really know how affected and in what way James was by it. I don't know when his mum died exactly, but it was pre-Black Album, hence 'The God That Failed'.

james mum died when he was 12 |
The God That Failed is actually about the religion he was brought up with as a child, he was a Christian Scientist. He said "It was very alienating for me as a child" and it caused some complications with his social life and wasn't allowed to attend certain classes. So that song is about that.
|
^I thought it was cuz his mom had cancer and didnt want any medical help because she thought god would help her but he/she didnt and she died hense the god that failed (to save his mom ;)).
|
First of all.
Metallica rules! |
Second of all.
Bob Rock destroyed them! |
Where has all the the thrash metal sound gone to?
|
Geez calm down and...
1st of all dont double and/or triple post and yes they do 2nd of all please put IMO after that 3rd of all i'm not sure. |
lilmetallica has it right. That is the meaning of the song. God failed to save his mum, when she put all her faith in him to save her.
