It looks like only the drummer is really young. If the singer was 9 or 10, that would be entertaining.

indietrash 05-19-2007 12:42 PM

he's twelve.
his brother, Jason Suecof (one of the guitarists) is nine here. he is one of the best guitarists in the world as of today. 'specially when it comes to improvising.

711 05-19-2007 12:43 PM

the vocalist is twelve? He doesnt look it.

indietrash 05-19-2007 12:43 PM

the drummer's twelve
errm. if you don't like me, 'cuz I don't mind Aiden - I don't really care, lol.
You're downloading every song they've ever released, I don't think "don't mind" them doesnt really do it.

indietrash 05-19-2007 01:05 PM

it's just to have it on my PC. I haven't listened that much to them. I don't even like Rain in Hell. but Our Gang's Dark Oath has a few pretty awesome tracks.

Show Review!

These Arms Are Snakes, Cursive, Against Me!, Mastodon

These Arms Are Snakes

So psyched to see this band and they tore it up. The singer is such a weird dude, at one point he removed his belt, wrapped it around his neck and began trying to swallow the mic. I know they played "Horse Girl" and "Angela's Secret" but I didn't know the two other songs they played. One was pretty typical spazzy stuff but the last song they played was pretty epic and it ended really heavy with the singer screaming something about "killing your kids with a..." The bassist was spot on playing bass and the korg. Very impressive.

Cursive

Big Bang
Am I Not Yours?
Dorothy Dreams Of Tornadoes
Sierra
Bad Science
Some Red Handed Sleight Of Hand
The Game Of Who Needs Who The Most
Bad Sects
The Great Decay
The Recluse
Art Is Hard
Dorothy At 40

Truly fantastic. They all came out wearing tuxedos and played a fantastic set list. Tim Kasher is a great performer and his crazy vocals were spot on. The other members are so funny, the bassist is this fat guy who looks like he should be on a british sitcom, the second guitarist looks like he's about 55 and should be playing in a classic rock band. Fantastic set list, "Bad Sects" and "The Game Of Who Needs Who The Most" were incredible live. Bought a shirt, the Dorothy At 40 7" and the CD split with Eastern Youth.

Against Me!

Fucking incredible. Stole the show. So much energy in the crowd and on stage, Tom Gabel is the man. Opened with "Pints Of Guiness," followed by "Cliche Guevara." Every went nuts, singing every word. I only know As The Eternal Cowboy extensively so I know they played "TSR," "Turn Those Clapping Hands Into Angry Balled Fists," and "Sink, Florida, Sink." They also played three new songs including "White People For Peace," "Americans Abroad," "Reinventing Axl Rose" and "Don't Lose Touch." Tom ended the set by saying "thank you for having us. Oh yeah, and up the punx." Amazing set.

Didn't bother staying to see Mastodon. Great show though.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-19-2007 02:06 PM

That was all the same show? These Arms Are Snakes only played four songs?

cbmartinez 05-19-2007 02:29 PM

Yeah, there's a possibility that I may have missed their first couple but I don't think so. They had some mic problems so that ate up some of their set time.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-19-2007 02:30 PM

Oh, i see. Thats a really weird line-up for a show. Cursive with Mastadon?

cbmartinez 05-19-2007 02:33 PM

I know. But it ruled nonetheless.

Luxor 05-19-2007 03:19 PM

That's such a stupid line up. All of those bands could headline their own shows with similar artists and fill a venue.

I really wanted to see Cursive, but I didn't feel like dropping $40 to see them with **** I don't like (mainly mastodon).

team_racket 05-19-2007 04:41 PM

dug out domestica as of late. such a f'ucking good cd.

indietrash 05-19-2007 04:43 PM

Violenza Domestica is much better, heh

Tickets were 15 dollars for me and Against Me and These Arms Are Snakes are definitely worth it.

bottlerocket 05-20-2007 01:03 PM

I never got into Against Me! or TAAS but I dig Cursive. I'd drop $15 just to see them, I think, so it seems like a worthwhile show for me.

The Great Decay 05-20-2007 01:10 PM

I'd go see Against Me! and Cursive.

The Great Decay 05-20-2007 01:14 PM

I need some more emo jams. Recommend me some albums I haven't heard.

pixiesfanyo 05-20-2007 01:14 PM

TAAS and Cursive would be tight.

Not as cool as Deftones, TAAS and Thrice though.

Matt? 05-20-2007 01:20 PM

franklin, sleepytime trio, four hundred years

The Great Decay 05-20-2007 02:09 PM

would they be hard to find on soulseek?

Matt? 05-20-2007 02:33 PM

i'm not sure

bottlerocket 05-20-2007 02:44 PM

400 Years is a wicked sick Bob Marley song.

Well you already missed it!

pixiesfanyo 05-20-2007 03:13 PM

Why are Off Minor so good that they can play their songs instrumentally and they still are better than anyone?

You need to hear TAAS immediately.
That tour happened already I assume?
I think it was Australia only?

cbmartinez 05-20-2007 04:17 PM

Ah, that is a pretty badass lineup.
