its easy as hell man. memorising 300 drugs with their generics sucks though. im considering going into hospital pharmacy so i dont have to deal with insurance issues and other customer/patient headaches until i get my CPh liscense


plus at hospitals you get to make IV bags

i'll probably make some IV bags when i grow up

how hard is it to land a job at a hospital? i imagine its going to be quite a bit tougher than other areas.

its EXTREMELY competitive, though if your school does externships as part of the class or you have retail pharmacy exp. then its not too bad

I worked in a Pharmacy for 5 years. I still remember lots of the generic names etc.

Yeah it does, are you looking to go to like big time graduate school or doing something like become a pharmacy tech? Either is a good option, obviously being a tech requires much less schooling, and you can work your way up. But around here medical is a huge field in general.

School for Pharm. Tech. isn't really worth it though. You top out pretty low from what I've seen.

Yeah but you can probably work your way up to better positions or get grants to get a higher degree or something.

pharmacy tech for now. definitely not looking for graduate school stuff at the moment.
