So I just got home from work and was told that the company who I applied for a job at phoned me while i was out. THis is encouraging news indeed

However, its hours are now revelaed to be 8 - 6, mon- fri. And its an hour to get there, so thats a 7 - 7 working day for me.

Dammit, im hitting real life at last

11k aint bad per year, well for 19/20 year old.

Yeah, I am starting at the bottom rung of the company. But its nice to see that the 3 head bosses came from a similar situation

If i lived on my own, and i got 11k a year, id be happy. Get some nice basses with that money.

Option 2. Though if I start earning that sort of money, its time to search for personal accomodation indeed.

Though I mainly want to save up for my own PC, getting fed up play administrator on this one and having to wait for others to finish using it

Being admin is fun, if my brother gets on my nerves (which he does alot), i just block his account, or disable him from doing certain things

computer game desingners start with 15k a yr i think, so stuff me drum kit when i leave 6th form, im going into teh business. i will keep playing the drums, and buy a tama stagestar i think, or i ahve i got the wrong star thing, doublebass kit, and keep it in my attic, and never play it, like thos saddo's who buy a drumkit so tehy can just look rich.

So i'm sitting here with my room all stripped and half a wood floor down. I never realised how big this room is! This is funky.

My brother has turned into a Metallica fanboy, all he plays on guitar is Metallica riffs when a few months ago I went through a phase of playing about half of the Ride the Lightning album in order...

My sisters always liked good music, most of the time its pretty mianstream, but shes started to steal my cds and stuff. All my music off my pc is uploaded onto here MP3 too.

WOAH WOAH WOAH, nobody is saying i have the job yet. im just very confident. There is still likely to be an interview phase, but this is the furthest along in the job process I have had so far.

Is computer game designer what you really want to do with your life?
What are the avenues for promotion?
15k a year is very little at all.
1250 pounds a month, so that's 312.50 pounds a week.

Take bills away from that, food, clothing, transport costs, rent e.t.c.
You really don't have much. If it's your dream, then go for it, but otherwise it's not a perfect idea.
If you get a wife a settle down, and some kids, 15k a year, will not fund it at all.
Just think very carefully about what you want to do with your life.

Sigur Ros are groovey. My sister discovered them about 6 years ago.

I dont know what I make of them. I guess since my musical tastes have gone darker recently that it was just a bit calm for me. But its unfair for me to judge now, I havent heard them that much yet, and they are on tommorrows MP3 tracklist.
