Earlier Maiden sounds somewhat punkish to me... and I love it, although most punk bands I just can't get into. Bands such as NOFX, Anti Flag, Bad Brains, Misfits... all that stuff....

Sabbath was my gateway to metal for me... I remember the first time I heard Paranoid and NIB... good memories.

Bartender 02-09-2005 12:00 AM

It wasn't. If I'd wanted to (seriously) call you guys idiots, I'd do it more bluntly, rather than disguising it with words and phrases for fun.

xizoesira 02-09-2005 12:03 AM

Punk is like the glass of water I drink before eating a big steak. The steak being metal.

Definitely, especially the debut.

Di'Anno played a big part in that whole early Maiden sound imo.

I'm not suprised about most of those, except Misfits. Most people like them, but to each his own.

Okay. :)

Bartender 02-09-2005 12:18 AM

Anyway, I'm off to bed (it's 6:20am). See you all tomorrow.

Wow, that is late. I'm out soon too.

Later.

Huber 02-09-2005 12:22 AM

Man, I hate being on the side of the world that's always got the earlier time. Then when it's late in the other time zones and everyone leaves, it's still early over here and there is barely anybody around.

Bartender 02-09-2005 12:27 AM

Okay, doesn't look like he'll be answering soon, so I'm off.

A quick hello  to Gilmour, and and now I really will see you all tomorrow.

Kurtz 02-09-2005 12:28 AM

Later B.

Couldn't have put it better myself, G.

Freezing Moon 02-09-2005 12:40 AM

Ok, I guess I'm actually leaving for the night.

Later MX.

Huber 02-09-2005 12:48 AM

Now I must be off.

Good bye everyone.

ArcLite 02-09-2005 01:00 AM

Have a good one. Hows everyone doing?

xizoesira 02-09-2005 01:27 AM

Just finished a project and feeling pretty good about it.

ArcLite 02-09-2005 01:30 AM

Wow, never thought I'd see the day...a new avatar for xiz. I'll miss seeing that old chap, whoever he was.

Riva 02-09-2005 01:32 AM

Bartender is the devil. Discuss.

xizoesira 02-09-2005 01:35 AM
Bartender is the devil. Discuss.
Balderdash. The devil is out back trimming the hedges.

ArcLite 02-09-2005 01:35 AM

He is the devil behind closed doors and a mask.

Bartender is out the back trimming the hedges? It boggles the mind.

ArcLite 02-09-2005 01:56 AM

I thought he was mixing me a martini? Hows the new motherboard holding up Jason?

Hasn't failed me yet, Chris. Speaking of Bartender's, I made friends with the bar manager of one of the local clubs in town. :)

Very nice addition to the picture. Looked through a bunch of the others too, hope you don't mind (little late if you do). Yeah, its always nice to have a bartender hookup, the payoff can be great.

Riva 02-09-2005 02:11 AM

Nope, nothing to hide. And yes, he gave me a free shot, so it was quite good.

ArcLite 02-09-2005 02:15 AM

I need to buy myself a digital camera. Is that photobucket site free to use?

Riva 02-09-2005 02:23 AM

Yep, it is. I want to buy a digital camera also.
