Prayers on Fire is better than Junkyard by a mile I'd say, but both are great. So is Hee-Haw.
|
Prayers on Fire is my favourite thing involving Nick Cave. Ever.
|
Dj Tiesto - Dance For Life
|
Dan Blakeslee - Lincoln Street Roughs
|
Justice - †
Pretty good. |
This is such a good album, I'm writing a review of it at the moment.
Cool. I tried to write one for Joan of Arc, Dick Cheney, Mark Twain but couldn't really. Plus, I've been reviewing too much Kinsella stuff lately.
Strawberry Jam could be better. Hopefully it will grow with repeated listens, but as of now it's a disappointment. |
That album sucks. Sounds like they forgot how to mix an album.
|
The Birthday Party are awesome
Bauhaus - In The Flat Field Bauhaus - Mask |
The Animals - The Singles Plus

Why the **** did they tour with Tool? |
Jawbreaker - Bivouac
Now to get Dear You and 24 Hour Revenge Therapy again because I couldn't get into them before! |
Because they're crap, and like-minded bands often do that?
|

Pax Cecilia - Blessed are the Bonds

Leonard Cohen -
Famous Blue Raincoat
"And what can I tell you my brother, my killer What can I possibly say? I guess that I miss you, I guess I forgive you I'm glad you stood in my way." Every time I hear that line it's like a slap in the face. It haunts me. |
The Fiery Furnaces - Widow City
|
If I haven't really liked their other ones, would I like Widow City?
|
It's kind of like EP combined with Blueberry Boat, upbeat/catchy but also a bit spastic. Beter than Bitter Tea too, which was a pile of shit.
Pretty sure Eleanor sings on all the songs. |
I love the production on all of the Fiery Furnaces albums.
|
I wish they would develop their sound more. The whole "random" oddball thing gets old after awhile.
|
I stopped listening to them ages ago because of that. And they dont seem intent on changing their sound.
|
I was never able to get into the Fiery Furnaces. For some reason they just never clicked. I might give them another chane, but probibly not.
