All aboard the D-Train! Next stop: Tommy John Surgery :p Seriously, I think Josh Beckett has to be the most injured "ace" evar.
Willis is awesome and weird. I love Pierre though; the way he steals bases! :thumb: wow. He's pretty cool. |
Jose Mesa must be your favorite player. That fucking asshole.
Or Steve Bartman! Yeah, I know he's a clumsy nerd instead of a player, but still!
Willis is awesome and weird. I love Pierre though; the way he steals bases! wow. He's pretty cool.
No, I like D-Train. The other guy on the Marlins I really like is Miguel Cabrera. He's going to have a few NL MVPs by the time he retires. |
That's because wordwork is not a competition. In golf, you are in direct competition with other golfers.
Yeah but its not like the other people can affect you in any way, so its not intense competition. Do you consider Logging to be a sport? |
A scythe is what the grim reaper holds.

EDIT: refl @ ATM
Haha thats awesome I just realized that. Does anyone here think Mastodon-Leviathan is one of the best cds of the past few years? |
Yeah but its not like the other people can affect you in any way, so its not intense competition. Do you consider Logging to be a sport?
No one can affect you? Tell that to every golfer who had to go up against Tiger in a major. |

Juan Pierre is my favorite player. Miguel Cabrera coming in second. They're pretty cool. The new dude; something LoDuca was awesome. We were at the stadium when he first played with the Marlins. His first time up to bat and hit it out of the park. :D |

My favorite has been Luis Castillo ever since that 30 something hitting streak, the way he beat out all those infield hits, hes just awesome. |
Mastodon - Levithan is not that great of an album.

Paul Lo Duca, the ex-Dodgers catcher...Paul DePodesta (the Dodgers' GM) got a lot of criticism for trading him because he was considered the clubhouse leader.
My favorite has been Luis Castillo ever since that 30 something hitting streak, the way he beat out all those infield hits, hes just awesome.
Speaking of hitting streaks, Johnny Damon is at 25 and counting... I'm surprised Ichiro doesn't have a long hitting streak. He could very well retire with 3,000+ hits. Nite Lucas |
Good night all. ****ty job in the morning. :upset:
Fun talking about scythes and thongs with all of you. |
Mastodon - Levithan is not that great of an album.
:( :( You dont think so? So many amazing songs. I am Ahab is one of my favorite songs, plus the way it is mixed and put together the album as whole is just incredible. |

Yeah, that's him. He was awesome. First time up to bat and everyone was chanting his name; all the latinos.
Speaking of hitting streaks, Johnny Damon is at 25 and counting...
He is so cool! I loved watching the Red Sox win. I only saw the last two games though.
My favorite has been Luis Castillo ever since that 30 something hitting streak, the way he beat out all those infield hits, hes just awesome.
He's great, so is Alex Gonzales. We have a friend whose last name is Castillo, so they go nuts everytime Luis comes on. Latinos go nuts over baseball...did you see the Dominicans at the Home Run Derby? What a crazy bunch.
He is so cool! I loved watching the Red Sox win.
Mastodon - Levithan is not that great of an album.
I liked it. I thought it was one of the better albums that I've heard. Sure, nothing spectacular(except the drumming) but it's still a pretty good listen. |
I'm surprised Ichiro doesn't have a long hitting streak. He could very well retire with 3,000+ hits.
I dont know, he is 31, and at this rate he would need to play 8 more years to get to that mark. Plus I think he will slow down compared to his first 4 seasons. |

I like a few songs by them, but most of the album just bores me. |

Yeah, I have to admit Johnny Damon and Big Poppa are the yankees "daddys". :upset: |

Oh god. I know. You forget that I go to see games at Dolphin stadium. This one time, we sat in a great section, but with all these (some drunk) college kids. It was the most fun I've ever had at a game. We won for loudest section; krispy kreme doughnuts, 12 per ticket. There was going to be a kick ass after party (the Marlins won, which made it better) at the Krispy Kreme. I didn't get to go though. :upset: So I gave our tickets to this crazy college dude who was standing in the hallway yelling out "I've got 60 doughnuts!" |
Johnny Damon used to be a pretty good skateboarder. :p Too bad he was better at baseball. /-:

He has 1,037 hits through four and a half seasons; by the end of this season he will probably have around 230 hits, putting him at about 1,157 through five. Another five years he'll be 37 and will be about halfway there. He has no real injury history so he could pull a Rickey Henderson and play til he's about 45 and then get it there. |
Ray, we are still first in the AL East, right?

I have bad memories of that stadium. My friends live in I think its called Weston Florida and last year we went to see the Fish play the Browns on Sunday night. It was cold out, the final score was 10-7, barely any action, all the Browns did was give the ball to Suggs, he had nearly 50 carries. |
RCA: Yeah
Yeah, I have to admit Johnny Damon and Big Poppa are the yankees "daddys".
"Big Poppa"? This is David Ortiz we're talking about, not Biggie Smalls!
Oh god. I saw a really really bad FAU Owls game against some other team. It was so sad. It ended up being Owls 40 something to nothing. All we kept hearing was the announcer saying "and it's another FAU first doooown...." It got really annoying after a while. We ended up rooting for the other team. |

I wonder if Tedi Bruschi will play a good bit next season.

Drunk? Well, duh, it's a baseball game :p Manny and Ortiz have picked up the torch from Pedro, but a lot more people like Manny and Ortiz than they did Pedro, because Pedro was kind of idiosynchratic and strong-willed and alienating. I loved him, though.
I wonder if Tedi Bruschi will play a good bit next season.
He probably won't :( I hope he does, though. |
