I've just entered into this realm of music. I like Explosions in the Sky but I find I like Mogwai a little better. Now I've just found Godspeed even though they've been around a while and I dig them too.

I have to disagree. EITS are just good at making their own sound imo. I like Caspian as well, though.

Yeah EITS is different enough from Caspian you can't really say "Caspian is better at being EITS." Although, I do prefer Caspian. Especially [I]You Are the Conductor.[/I]

generic doesnt necessarily mean bad. just means they dont do anything different from what has become the general sound of post rock. i still enjoy them, but im not as attracted to them as i am by bands that do things outside the realm of the norm.
