If you put them in the freezer overnight, they make great icy-poles.

drumass04 05-31-2006 03:06 PM

Is all of this from experience? :p

I'm totally crit'ed out...I don't think I've ever critiqued so many piece in one night. It's been a long time since I'd just sat on S&L all evening!!

Can someone post something I can really dig my teeth into...I'm in the mood for a real in-depth critique and all the stuff on the front pages at the moment doesn't particularly appeal to a fully in-depth!

I've taken a turn to the simplistic side in my new writing too, wierd. I'm usually far too verbose and metaphorical!!! Still poetical rather than lyrical though, I think I'm definately a poet rather than a songwriter. But I'm happy with that :)

Wow!! I just realised I'm in the Writer Profiles!!!! Thanks DR! :D

'S all the truth, I'm far too pretentious and verbose for my own good...apart from my newest piece :p

Cheers again DR :chug:

A_Perfect_Sonnet 05-31-2006 03:30 PM

Tim if you want to crit my revised version (v2) of Lost In Definition, it should be on the second or third page. I'll give you a handsome critique back.

drumass04 05-31-2006 04:23 PM

sorted :p

pixiesfanyo 05-31-2006 07:51 PM
Well obviously you're band is terrible.
I stand by my statement.

If you feel bored enough. It's lengthy and goes a lot of places.

FA 05-31-2006 10:55 PM

I've got a piece in the In-Depth thread that no one's touched, you could do that if you'd like.

drumass04 06-01-2006 07:45 AM

I've tried critiquing your piece in the In-depth several times, I just can't get into it for some reason. It's a great piece and I really enjoyed reading it I jsut can't seem to write about it!

RollerQueen, I'll take a little look later on. I'll catch up on my dots first.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 06-01-2006 11:42 AM

I appreciate the fact that there is some high caliber writing on these boards. We're all so talented.

Nightvision 06-01-2006 12:06 PM

The overall level of writing in the forum is better than it's ever been, to be honest.

I just wish I was a little more motivated to do some critiquing and writing right now... women are the root of all evil, dontchaknow.

drumass04 06-01-2006 12:10 PM

Haha! I got a bit of inspiration and motivation to crit. Yesterday I critiqued most of the front page.

Timmy

RollerQueen 06-01-2006 01:08 PM

Oh, the swell of summer. We'll all be sick of each other by August. Hopefully, we'll at least be showering regularly.

Whenever, Timmy. Thanks.

TojesDolan 06-02-2006 01:51 AM

I prefer winter. Summer is to bright and sunny.

Anyhow I returned for good, I have some good rounds to fire at you guys. Hope you read them or something. :D

RollerQueen 06-02-2006 01:55 AM

Your avatar is odd. It reminds me of Saladfingers.

It's from Tool's video Parabola. Interesting feat.

Anyhow, you don't want to make a little share-share of critiques? I'm in the mood.

drumass04 06-03-2006 08:03 AM

*Goes to find writing by Tojes*

Good to hear that you're back :) I look forward to your new writings!

Timmy

pixiesfanyo 06-03-2006 08:28 AM

maybe i'll write a song about how much Tool sucks, cleverly disguised in metaphor.

TojesDolan 06-03-2006 03:40 PM
maybe i'll write a song about how much Tool sucks, cleverly disguised in metaphor.
I enjoy the imagery of their videos.

masada 06-03-2006 04:34 PM

The thing looks a bit randy if you ask me.

Oh, Cassandra 06-03-2006 10:02 PM

Who is that kid making random posts under different names. He makes me want to stab someone in the face.

masada 06-03-2006 10:07 PM

Exactly what I was thinking.

TojesDolan 06-04-2006 02:00 AM

I don't get random posts in my threads.

Hell, I don't even get real posts in my threads. Other than dear Timmy, of course.

FA 06-04-2006 02:06 AM

I do...APS and some other fella had an angry type-off in my latest.

Mitch2oo6 06-04-2006 02:36 AM

Yes, I do apologise about that.

deathscreamingsheep 06-04-2006 03:53 AM

Oooh a type off. Sounds like some sort of medieval duel except using the interweb... oh well. Maybe not quite that.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 06-04-2006 10:26 AM

At least we didn't flame eachother for spelling and grammar. That's when you know the thread is shot.

pixiesfanyo 06-04-2006 10:31 AM

Maybe, I'll have a lyrics soon.

drumass04 06-04-2006 12:11 PM

Haha!! I'm a dear!

Annoying thing is, it's resurrecting threads from absolutely ages ago. If it was something constructive maybe, but to just be a pest and nusaince is annoying.

Nightvision 06-04-2006 11:07 PM

So, I was browsing Sputnik, and I noticed Dfelon is a fan of Samiam, who just so happen to be one of my favourite bands.

Discuss finding out someone else likes a band that you thought no-one had ever heard of.

TojesDolan 06-05-2006 12:27 AM

It's very good actually. I met a girl who's into Classic Rock, and I thought "Oh man she's the one".

But I haven't talked to her in person. She added me or something and that's about it.

RollerQueen 06-05-2006 12:58 PM

APS, pixies, and metaliq all like Say Anything. Much goodness.

SubtleDagger 06-05-2006 01:07 PM

I like Say Anything.

RollerQueen 06-05-2006 06:38 PM

Another one! You also like Glassjaw, so despite our utter lack of communication, you're a good man in my book (since that's what your life needs).

A_Perfect_Sonnet 06-05-2006 11:38 PM

Welcome The Plague Year, Funeral Diner, Dear Diary I Seem to Be Dead, La Quiete, Endless Intertia, Louise Cyphre, Phoenix Bodies, Amanda Woodward, Trophy Scars, Hot Cross, pageninetynine, Orchid, City of Caterpillar, etcetera.

Anyone?

I also like Norah Jones and Sarah Mclaughlin for their soothing voices, and a lot of other stuff...

slack 06-05-2006 11:47 PM

Nope.

Except Sarah Mclaughlin, but it's been ages since I've had the desire to strap on a omnibus.

La Quiete and Trophy Scars. I used to listen to them more but not so much anymore.

TojesDolan 06-05-2006 11:59 PM

I like my good doses of Fiona Apple every once in a while.

<_<

Welcome the Plague Year, Pg 99, City of Caterpillar.

City of Caterpillar is one of my favourite bands. Malady is awesome too (Members of City of Caterpillar and Pg99).

Isn't Norah Jones doing something with Mike Patton or something???

SubtleDagger 06-06-2006 11:10 PM

He did a collaboration with her in Peeping Tom.

Good game on the emo bands.
