I know I'm kinda late, but is anybody else enjoying the new Darkest Hour as much as I am? I really enjoy how he puts melody into his vocals without sounding like a sissy. Its still very metal.

The new Dark Tranquility is decent as well. A little less boring than their two previous records.

I love the solos throughout the album. You're right Cocaine, it's a huge improvement overall. I am excited to open for them next Thursday (along with Amon Amarth and Goatwhore).

Yeah I think Character has been Dark Tranquility's best album to date. I haven't heard the new stuff though so I could be wrong.

Cocaine: I enjoyed Character, but after like 5 songs I had to turn it off, its just a lot of the same mood/vibe.

Like An Ever Flowing Stream seems pretty good after a first complete listen. Was interested to find out that Nicke Andersson of Entombed wrote virtually all the leads. Question: I recall someone stating that Dismember's vocals differed on their early demos; were they in the vein of those found on the bonus track Defective Decay?

The Chasm's "Form The Curse, A Scourge" is too ****ing good. I love instrumentals like this.

The intro riff to [I]Reaching the Veil of Death[/I] made me set my livingroom on fire. If you like them check out Serpens Aeon, it has members of the Chasm in there and its pretty good. I also recommend Ancient Gods or Infinitum Obscure.

I'll look for them when I have some free time. :-D
