No, they are really meh.

Invicta_Veritas 07-31-2007 12:07 AM

I think they're better than meh.

LifeInABox 07-31-2007 12:08 AM

Ok. I just don't think they are anything special.

Invicta_Veritas 07-31-2007 12:13 AM

Ok. Maybe not special, but they're still good.
Yeah cos Ed's doing vocals for Eternal Lord.
Well there's the other metalcore band, I'm waiting to hear the completely different band that will come from IKTPQ's demise.

LifeInABox 07-31-2007 09:38 AM

A jazzcore band :lol:

RetiredAt21 07-31-2007 10:13 AM

Jazzcore...LOL.

LifeInABox 07-31-2007 10:14 AM

Emo Violence and Blackened Deathcore are gayer, though.

RetiredAt21 07-31-2007 10:14 AM

Emo violence rules, fag. In/Humanity owns you.

LifeInABox 07-31-2007 10:23 AM

No, it's a gay label thing that doesn't exsist. It's just Power Violence/Emo. I was talking about retarded subgenres, where were you?

Deathcrush 07-31-2007 10:30 AM

hbphomoasssexcore more like it

LifeInABox 07-31-2007 10:36 AM

Hey, you'd better watch it. I'll throw you a beatin'!

Dimmu Burger 07-31-2007 10:47 AM
A jazzcore band :lol:
Are you joking?

Even if Jazzcore existed, which it doesn't, Into the Moat would not be part of it.

Dimmu Burger 07-31-2007 10:49 AM

Into the Moat plays metalcore with jazz interludes. So yes they would. :)

Tyler 07-31-2007 10:50 AM
Into the Moat plays metalcore with jazz interludes.
No they really don't.

Gnarmageddon 07-31-2007 10:51 AM

Dimmu Burger 07-31-2007 10:58 AM
no ****ing jazz. have you listened to jazz? ever?
I am familiar with jazz. what do you call the very non-metal parts that they do?

masscows 07-31-2007 10:58 AM
No, it's a gay label thing that doesn't exsist. It's just Power Violence/Emo. I was talking about retarded subgenres, where were you?
why do you feel the need to separate something with elements of 2 genres with a /

deathgrind=a real genre
emoviolence=a real genre

you might as well say metalcore bands are heavy metal/hardcore if youre going to be that nit picky.

Tyler 07-31-2007 10:58 AM
I am familiar with jazz. what do you call the very non-metal parts that they do?
i call them breaks.
deathgrind=a real genre
emoviolence=a real genre
Deathcrush 07-31-2007 10:59 AM

Dimmu Burger 07-31-2007 11:01 AM
i call them breaks.
And I'll continue to call them Jazzy Interludes.

And to show my ignorance again, can someone tell me what the hell "emoviolence" is?

Tyler 07-31-2007 11:02 AM
And to show my ignorance again, can someone tell me what the hell "emoviolence" is?
presumably a mix of emo and power violence?

masscows 07-31-2007 11:06 AM
No, they're not real genres.
i'd rather not say something is "death metal/grindcore" or "emo/power violence" or "death metal/metalcore". What's everyone's problem with contractions?

Dimmu Burger 07-31-2007 11:07 AM
presumably a mix of emo and power violence?
Oy, I'm loosing my touch.

They're taking things too far.

If you're a death metal band but you have a grind influence, you're still a death metal band. If you're a death metal band with hardcore influences, you're still a death metal band.

It just gets ridiculous. Example?

Fashioncore, Moshcore, Taqwacore, Skacore, Queercore, Digital Hardcore, Funkcore, Hatecore, Noisegrind, Goregrind, Pornogrind, Deathgrind

It's not a problem with contractions, it's a problem with the genres not existing.
