And some guy had way too much time on his hands, so he found this out:
Get the original members and put there birthdays in numeric form, like for example, my birth day is December first 1989, so it owuld be 12189. Next, add all those number together....mine would be 21. Then....i dont remember the rest, but it comes out to be 182.
Untitled posted that in the old thread. If I can find it I will post it here. Watch this post for edits. EDIT - I'm not really in the mood for looking through every page of that thread. I attempted and got bored. I may try to do the calculations. EDIT - I think we should leave this for Untitled. If he would the greatest person ever he will post that big math equation again would be great because I have hit a dead end. |
Ill look for it.

Mark Hoppus
3/15/1972 3+1+5+1+9+7+2 = 28 2+8 = 10 1+0 = 1 Scott Raynor 5/23/1978 5+2+3+1+9+7+8= 35 3+5 = 8 Tom Delonge 12/13/1975 1+2+1+3+1+9+7+2=29 2+9 = 11 1+1 = 2 EDIT, i cut and paste that, the tom one dosnt work properly. |
Er, no. The Tom one works just fine.
|
:amaze: a strange coincidence?? I think not!! But on the other hand... Who'd go to that much trouble...?
No one, it was a random number. People tried to figure out how they chose it and started making these things up. But it's pretty cool though. |

It equals 26. A miscalculation. 2 + 6 = 8 Mean Blink 188. Sorry, to burst the bubble guys, but that isn't correct. |

Before when I was doing the calculations I wasn't puting the the 1+9 in so all my calculations were off by 10. Now that after trying to prove someone wrong, it turns out I was proven wrong. Thanks for noticing that cobert! |
I almost believed it to be wrong. Nice catch Cobert.

We've done that for the past 85 pages. |
In "Tales From Beneath Your Mom" there's a list of possible reasons for the 182. Some of them are really stupid but anyway:
- Mark's ideal weight - The number of miles between Mark's house and his girlfriend's - The number of Mark's grandpa's race car - The number of Mark's grandpa's boat in World War 2 - The number of times Al Pacino says the 'f-word' in Scarface - The eighteenth letter of the alphabet is R. The second letter is B. 18+2=RB, or Rancho Bernardo where Mark and Scott lived for years. |

i reckon it has to be the birthday numbers its not like that could just be a fluke serious. out of all the number in the world whats the chance it would add up to 182 seriosuly.........
|
I actually don't care, they're a good band no matter what their name is.
