I've just discovered something very weird:

The cd tray picture (the picture behind where the cd goes) for the self titled album, has Joe, Mick, and Paul standing with their backs facing the camera and their hands on the wall. Joe's jacket reads, "1977."


As I was watching Westway, during the DIY part, I noticed the EXACT same picture, but instead of reading "1977" Joe's jacket reads "Hate and War"

I own the US release of the first album. Is this the same picture for the UK release? Did the record label try to censor "Hate and War" from the American version because they thought it too blunt for American listeners??!!??

I can answer the jacket question. Joe's jacket did originally say "Hate and War", but when the record label was going to post the picture in the album, they changed it to "1977" because they thought "Hate and War" wasn't suitable. Bastards. I hate censorship :mad:.
