Not much. Music was so awesome today.

So then I was allowed to go (about 15 minutes left) and I went to get a coffee and I came back and these girls were like "we're done. Can we go too?" and I was like "come on Mrs Simpson, let 'em go. You let me go" and she was like "nah, that's called favouritism!" - I swear my head was so swollen.

Then at the end of the lesson I was chilling with her (I talk to her for a few minutes before/during/after class) and we were talking about species counterpoint and stuff. I was like "so, you'll be teaching us species counterpoint next week yeah?".. laughter ensued.

An art preamp might be better than a behringer preamp but they're still a POS. I wouldn't run anything through any of those preamps, or any of those 'mics'. The minimum you should be using for recording is a brick. If it's not a brick or more expensive then you shouldn't be recording.

Actually one of the pre-amps is a Universal Audio LA-610, and one of the mic's is a Neumann U87 :thumb:

I think its just because it has a lot of different sounds in it, like plosives and sibilants. Good for testing how a mic deals with certain "difficult" sounds

6/8 (omgz compound time)

I started calling it compound time when I got back from doing erands (that's my reward for knowing all this theory...?) and everyone's like "what the?"
Then we all had to read out a bar from each of our examples and clap it out. When it gets up to me for 6/8 I say I've got something like "a crotchet, quaver, duplet". Once again we get a "what the?" - even though quite a few of them have probably played it before (one girl is on grade 7 piano and plays chello - I thought she would've known). Then our teacher says "I'm glad you know that Trea but it's too advanced for this. Keep it simple please"

I was gonna buy a car one day, but then I thought; wait a minute! If I stayed at home all day every day for 5 years and went without food on thursdays I might save up enough to buy a nice car that'd last me a long time that I could learn to drive in.
