well, the version on the remastered KIMB is a bit annoying, but I kind of got used to it.

acefrehleyjendell 03-15-2005 06:07 PM

what the hell is happening with the sydney show?
megadeth.com lists it as all ages, yet ticketek.com lists it as 18+.

someone tell me megadeth.com is correct. :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset:

It's got sod all to do with the artist! I don't know how many times I've said this. The venue owners decide what the age range is on it, not the band.

Lord Abortion 03-16-2005 06:49 AM

a best of gig setlist from all you droogies please!
with encores labled and songs in order of playing
if it is a best of gig at download what would you like to see?

xoric 03-16-2005 09:37 AM

went to see um at the academy when they were in the UK and they were ****ING AWESOME. they definatly still have it, i got the set list and times sheet - YAYness - seeing them with marty woulda rocked hard but they too awesome for it too really matter

the call at the end for holy wars was intense - which made it 20 times better when they just came back and went into it
I think their best cover is Nansy's These Boots.
Plus, Chris plays his $exiest solos ever ! :naughty:
Chris plays a great solo on Good Morning /Black Friday, in the Black Friday part of the song.

Yeah, I know. Peace Sells is my favourite album. However I thought Poland played the long solo in the begining too. But then I bought the album, and on booklet it says Dave. Also, almost 95% of Wake Up Dead was Dave and first solo on Devil's Island. I didn't know Dave can compose nice melodic solos (besides playing fast up and down the fretboard).

BTW, I just finished downloading The Conjuring live video from Roskilde festival(Denmark) 1992. It's great.

Has anyone ever seen videos with Gar and Chris??? I've never seen anything Megadeth from 80's :upset:

metal guitar III 03-16-2005 02:09 PM

I actually meant the fast solo
Nor have I seen any 80s 'Deth...but there must be some footage out there somewhere

I know that you meant the last solo :) :upset:

Oh too bad you also haven't seen any. Right now I'm downloading whole Megadeth concert from Italy 1992 (150 MGB - 40 minutes)

There's also a concert from Germany 1988 but it's 450 MGB so I pass......anyone with good connection should download that. Because if it's really 1988, I guess you'll see Jeff Young and Chuck Behler.

Limewire pwns !

They made videos for both Wake Up Dead and Peace Sells, aren't they in those?

btoto 03-16-2005 02:39 PM

I meant live

acefrehleyjendell 03-16-2005 04:40 PM

Direct link to a Dave interview (audio) from about september.

i found metallica with dave in '82, playing mechanix.

paco999 03-16-2005 07:04 PM

Mechanix or Four Horsemen?

ThrashMaster27 03-16-2005 09:55 PM

It'll be Mechanix. I don't recall Dave ever playing The Four Horsemen live, although as usual, I'll probably be wrong. I know he wrote the new parts to it and most of the new lyrics, but I've never seen him play it live.

vashts80 03-17-2005 12:21 AM

I've gotten several boots off P2P

Metallica w/ Dave on Mar 3, 83
Megadeth in Philly, Nov 12, 04
Megadeth in England in 90 sometime
Megadeth in a club in 86

I love P2P

Lord Abortion 03-17-2005 03:44 AM

yep mechanix was cool
despite me getting KIMB on the day before the gig I heard the song before they played it ... which was nice

holy wars was the best though
sweating bullets, hangar 18, tornado of souls and a tout le monde were close behind

they were so good and proved that dave pwnz hetfield (dave can play solos)

btoto 03-17-2005 10:22 AM
where did u find all this stuff Shareaza?
was the question to me?? - if yes, I found it in Limewire.

About Mechanix with Metallica, it's from 1983 March, The Stone SF.

I downloaded the whole concert about a month ago from Limewire (302 MGB).

Great headbanging by Burton and Hethfield and Dave is drunk playing all of the leads like a monkey (except Jump In The Fire).

paco999 03-17-2005 10:37 AM

yea thx dude sounds fun

btoto 03-17-2005 10:55 AM

Your welcome, Paco999

Anyway, everyone out there, I bought So Far So Good So What about 3-4 hours ago and finally decided to stop listening and come to MX to state my opinions on it.

The whole album blowed me away. I did hear half of the album before (thanks p2p). All songs are great and sound so unique. The bests on it are IMO:

Into The Lungs Of Hell
In My Darkest Hour
Mary Jane
Liar
502
Hook in Mouth

Well, there are almost no bad songs on this album. Except I didn't really enjoy Set The World Afire. And Anarchy In The UK is probably much weaker than previous covers of 'deth but it still sounds fun and fits the album very good.

I recommend everyone to buy it if you haven't done so yet. Don't eat anything for a week and save your money for this great CD :thumb:

Edit: not really Megadeth related but anyway.....I also bought SRV's "In Step"
and first 6 songs are great (didn't listen to the whole thing).

SRV pwns !

metal guitar III 03-17-2005 11:14 AM

I am suprised that you didn't enjoy Set The World Afire.

KILO5203 03-17-2005 11:28 AM

I bought a ton of Megadeth CDs last week. The only ones I lack now are Risk, Hidden Treasures, and The World Needs A Hero.

metal guitar III 03-17-2005 11:32 AM

Unfortunately, I can't tell you anything about those three albums.

KILO5203 03-17-2005 11:36 AM

I like Hidden Treasures. I don't know about TWNAH, and I don't really care for Risk, but I'll probably get it anyway just so I'll have them all.

Deth 03-17-2005 12:31 PM

I need to buy that. It's on the large list of CD's I would buy had I the money.
