^ Show No Mercy was recorded in 83, but released early 84. I'm sure that KEA was realeased in 1983 however.

Anyone here know the band called Hades (thrash)? I was looking through some bands on metal-archives and found this band. They're from New Jersey, and formend in 1978.

OH MY GOD THAT'S HILLARIOUS! I took out the power metal one because Priest and Maiden border on it, and I like Iced Earth. Hey, check out my final 2 songs on my Axehead's Lyrics thread. I need some comments from my fellow Titans.

LordDargon 05-11-2004 03:04 PM

^ You moron, the power metal one was the best of all! :p

sensitive: aha, so SNM WAS before KEA. And no Haven't heard of Hades.

Corporal Compendia 05-11-2004 03:42 PM
As for Corporals comment on the Megadeth song... well, I haven't heard it (yet) so :p hehehe but really, I wouldn't trust his opinion as he likes Gorguts. ;)
Ahh, Gorguts isn't for rookies like you anyways! :p

Edit: ROOKIE!

GraveRobbersINC 05-11-2004 05:35 PM

So I'm getting my girlfriend into thrash, I've played her Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Dark Angel, and Testament. She likes Slayer, Met, Dark Angel, and Testament. She said she likes the lower tone of vocals. I was gonna start with kreator but the high pitched vocals are out, any other bands that have deep vocalists?

LordDargon 05-11-2004 05:47 PM

Nope, it's for old poopers to sit around and pretend they can like that spazmoidal, random, epileptic riff. (Gorguts that is)

GraveRobbers: Try some Disgorge... ahah, never mind. Hmm, many thrash bands have high vocalists. Possessed, Exumer, Exodus, Exhorder, Slaughter, and Sacrifice come to mind... some if that is quite underground and you won't be able to get it aside from Soulseek or DC+ or somethinkg like that.

EDIT: Now why the fuc.k did I say Exodus? Those vox are screeching high... oh well, you'll have to show her them anyways since they are the backbone of all thrash collections.

JMetallica 05-11-2004 05:53 PM

Kill 'em all was released and recorded in 83 (mid 83)

Show no mercy was recorded in november 1983 but not released until feb, march april or some **** in 1984)

Bonded By Blood was recorded in Febuary 1984 but not released until April 1985. <-- Bloody Stupid.

mr j 05-11-2004 05:58 PM

thrash is trash

GraveRobbersINC 05-11-2004 06:03 PM

lol ya, I'll get her to acquire to screechy taste that I have come to love.

mr j 05-11-2004 06:05 PM

oh so you agree

LordDargon 05-11-2004 06:14 PM

mr j, j standing for jewcunt, (sorry, couldn't think of a non-rascist insult beginning with J) has been banned. I am most pleased.

Just heard coroner....ya :thumb: , pure excellence

LordDargon 05-11-2004 06:21 PM

JMet, where did you learn that about the albums? Neither of us were even born then...... o.o

JMetallica 05-11-2004 06:41 PM

Get your girlfirend some Holy Moses. ;)

JMetallica 05-11-2004 06:43 PM

um, just kinda picked it up along the way..

coroner = the **** :thumb: ... some of the best guitaring you'll ever hear :D

LordDargon 05-11-2004 06:56 PM

Necrophagist = the best and neraly the most brilliant guitaring you will ever hear. The solo in Fermented Offal Discharge (which can be acessed on their site www.necrophagist.de) is absolutely brilliant. 3:35... oh satan I just go fucnking nuts.

It takes talent to play like that little man. Check out the Gorguts bit/videos on guitar.com. Cool stuff there. You're also judging the entire album by one song... again you are a rookie, you ROOKIE! Word on the street is that you only first heard Priest like... one month ago, so says my 'Shwa brother ratm...whatever his name is.. Back to Gorguts... Try Earthly Love and tell me that's a bad song. TRY IT! That, or Inverted.

At least you respect Necrophagist though. For that, I respect you my good man... and because you love thrash so much...and you're a fellow Ontarioman... that too.
I've been drinking.

LordDargon 05-11-2004 07:17 PM

Yah, that's true about JP... /me is into extreme metal

I'll check out those gorguts songs

and I like necrophagist becuase the riffs are still followable, not all start-stop jerky all-over-the-place retarded random note hitting. :p

manuscriptreplica 05-12-2004 04:53 AM

Coroner are better.

Jondur 05-12-2004 05:26 AM

Obscura is a masterpiece. Yes it's dissonant but you have to give it time.

And as for doom metal sucks - being able to go to the bar and get a beer inbetween snare hits is one of the benefits!!!

Coming from a guy with an Aarron Lewis avatar doesn't mean much. F*cking noob.

superpeer 05-12-2004 09:48 AM

Quoting and insulting someone who is already banned isn't that meaningful either. :p

LordDargon 05-12-2004 09:48 AM

He got banned, thus I am happy.

Quick - where is that Anthrax zombie video hosted? Or will I have to d/l?

superpeer 05-12-2004 10:03 AM

Launch has a nile video as well, check it out if you haven't seen it, LordDargon. :)

DisposableHeroes 05-12-2004 10:07 AM

the nile video is cool

LordDargon 05-12-2004 10:07 AM

Ooga booga, (noise I make when I have nothign else to say) I used to go to launch then stopped becuase I considered it Mainstream... hehe

*goes back* :upset:

OK, the anthax song was WAY to mallcore influenced. The intro kicked as.s; from around 3:30 to 4:00 kicked boatloads of as.s. The chrourus was pure mallcore, and the rest of the song was very mallcorish. Oh well, at least Megadeth are still...alive, and well. ;)

Good point Jondur. Hey, I thought the semen joke would have gone better with pop-punk, but I thought I would come up with a few new rules for a thrasher.

Pop punk sucks-Beer tastes better than co..........
Rap Sucks - Beer tastes better than cristal, and is cheaper
R&B Sucks - Beer tastes better than tears and R. Kelly's urine
Nu-Metal Sucks - Beer is better treatment for depression than drop B tuning.

LordDargon 05-12-2004 12:58 PM

Loved the nu-metal one, ahahahahaha.

PS Did you see what I said about the Anthrax song? Obviously not or you'd be flaming me.
