They are completely different in relation to The Bad Seeds imo. Think Nick Cave singing in a tortured high pitched squeal among (among other voices that he seems to project) and that's what you have.

Takes a few listens to appreciate the album compared to any Bad Seeds album I've heard but it's good. Only Birthday Party album I've heard though but I'll definitely be getting more.

I've heard that's amazing. I only got [I]The Junkyard[/I] because it seemed to be the most popular (review wise) and it was the only one I could find to download at the time but it's worth it.

The Birthday Party took over where PIL left off, and probably did a better job of the whole thing I think.
