How did you get your credentials/what subject or just gen ed?

that would be nice. unfortunately i can only sub for Fairfax County Public Schools.

if you have 60 credit hrs and are 18 then you can apply and send your resume, then there's months of back and forth with interviews, timed questionnaires, orientations, background checks, fingerprint scans, and other such nonsense. a couple months later, you get the call and the job is yours! at orientation, you select which subjects you want to teach, and i selected a lot so that i would have the most options. only two classes i have done so far were last week, i did 8th grade gym and 7th grade history

it varies school district to school district, because im pretty sure it's not that easy here

do you need a Bachelor's to be a substitute teacher or something? look at the website for your county's public school system, and look at the application process for a substitute

I'm pretty sure around here you need a BA + cred, but this doesn't stop a huge slew of retards from being subs.

in montana all we have to do is have a GED. same with wyoming.

what are some good songs or even better bands in general that do good groovy noisy stuff. i'm thinking like SY-Tom Violence, Slint-Nosferatu Man, first two tracks of Steady Diet of Nothing, Jesus Lizard-Then Comes Dudley.... Electric Wizard-Vinum Sabbathi.... know what i mean? with the drums, the pace of the song, etc, giving a good thick slow driving groove and good heavy/noisy melodies... like some feedback/harmonics, yeah. i'm just really in the mood for that kinda stuff and a lot of you guys listen to way more stuff than i do, so yea any suggestions for that kinda sound?

also, listening to the heat is here again, i realize that a song this reminds me of and that fits this kinda sound is blood in your mouth by colour revolt. has the best feedback solo ever.

most young widows songs are more reminiscent of melvins (old skin) or certain jesus lizard songs like Nub and Mouth Breather... either way pretty cool stuff
