The iHome is a pretty awesome investment. I've had mine since freshman year and am still using it. The only thing that bugs me is the charge thing shortens the battery life, I think.

Yep, that's how it works. As for MYR's statement about it draining the battery life, I wouldn't know a whole lot about that, but I haven't had any noticeable problems. It's a good investment for sure, especially if you have additional speakers for the surround sound effect (the sound is definitely better than other speaker systems I've seen and used, for the record).

I would use more for get togethers, or when i am working on my car. What type of speakers do you use?

They're by Altec Lansing ([url]http://www.alteclansing.com/[/url]). While I don't think these specific speakers are still available, they are a very good company with a real good price. They're basically my laptop's speakers, but I play my iPod through them and when I hook up the iHome to them they add another cool dimension to the music.

I have Altec Lansing on my home computer. I love them.

To anyone who is thinking about installing a nose cone for their trailer, I recommend buying a pneumatic rivet gun.
