i laughed too thor

Pete 08-10-2008 03:09 PM

why does this keep falling off :(

i just finished recording all the guitars for Fuck Zombies!'s debut demo

i think

i need a judgement call here, some opinion from mxers

i have this epic intro track written, and i'm not sure if i should do it with 6 layers of guitars or if i should make an orchestral arrangement, with a full on VST-orchestra, strings and all

is it too un-death to use strings and faggy stuff like that? consider that it is a serious zombie-epos piece, but should i do it wth distorted guitars or a string/piano-section?

masscows 08-10-2008 03:12 PM

I don't think strings/piano/whatever would work

Pete 08-10-2008 03:13 PM

yeah, i'm thinking i'll do it with a wall of guitars instead, maybe put an orchestrated version as a hidden track or something

repcak 08-10-2008 03:14 PM

great post ever -> CoB request + Dans answer: no there IS no CoB thread, there WAS a CoB thread looooooong time ago. :p

Meatwagon 08-10-2008 03:23 PM

It might work if the band name wasn't as ragingly homosexual.

masscows 08-10-2008 03:24 PM

is that a serious question

Blasting my recently acquired Mortal Throne of Nazarene for the first time; 'tis goood.

I've been told though that Diabolical Conquest is Incantation's best. Opines welcoombed.

Detah Metal - is that some form of Nipponese slit-eyecore?

masscows 08-11-2008 07:25 AM

Onward to Golgotha is better than Diabolical Conquest

carbombsandconversations 08-11-2008 03:13 PM

Golgatha > Onward To Golgatha

golgatha is better

Tyler 08-11-2008 05:23 PM

I waited too long to get this Defaced Creation album.

jebus FX 08-11-2008 06:01 PM

heyy anybody dig Carcass? they are coming to my town soon and I would like to get some recomendations on what they play live.

now playing some Demilich btw, I forgot how amazing they were.

Tyler 08-11-2008 06:02 PM

I hear their set is surprisingly varied. Goes through their discography I'm told, but I'd imagine more Heartwork than, say, Reek of Putrefaction.

masscows 08-11-2008 06:05 PM

Get Symphonies, Necroticism and Heartwork

Reek and Swansong aren't too good and probably won't get much rotation in their live set.

Txus 08-11-2008 06:12 PM

swansong is the only boring album.

carbombsandconversations 08-11-2008 06:25 PM

obligatory heartwork fucking blows

beans 08-11-2008 06:53 PM

heartwork does not blow
not even close
mega fail

Txus 08-11-2008 07:00 PM

it's a solid album.

beans 08-11-2008 07:01 PM

i've enjoyed it for quite some time now

Deth 08-11-2008 10:51 PM

ugh Inpropagation by Carcass is such a good song.

carbombsandconversations 08-11-2008 10:54 PM

no seriously it blows

Tyler 08-11-2008 10:54 PM
Inpropagation by Carcass is such a good song.
Agreed. Still about 2 minutes too long though. It isn't my favourite on Necrotism though.

i was actually quite surprised how unimpressed i was with that album

carbombsandconversations 08-12-2008 12:24 AM

thats how i was when i first heard it, and every time ive tried to listen to it since, its still been blandtastic

McP3000 08-12-2008 12:25 AM
