Apocalyptic Raids 03-26-2006 11:05 PM

Necrophagist have had 4 different drummers, but Hannes Grossmann is the one that has played on their albums, so I assume the votes are for him.

Wow, that sounds like my band with Bassists

ATM 03-26-2006 11:16 PM

How many do you have?

PinkFreud 03-26-2006 11:17 PM

Great. Thanks a lot.

We just go through bassists like crazy. My current band is the result of two other bands of mine falling through, mainly due to bass player issues.

Bassists I have had in my bands in the past two years:

Vince: Crystal Chains (moved)
David: Drug Under (dissappeared)
D.J: For This I Bleed (fired)
Adam: For This I Bleed (may be moving)

....my luck with bass players, huh.

I've also had issues with Drummers, but not as many, mainly due to the fact that we usually can't find anyone decent..........

If all else fails, I'll just play bass on the album........

Shadows 03-26-2006 11:27 PM

I have issues with drummers. Namely, there's only one metal drummer around here, and he's compeltely unreliable. Shame, he's extremely good. :(

ATM 03-26-2006 11:27 PM

Your band is called For This I Bleed?

Apocalyptic Raids 03-26-2006 11:28 PM

How is he unreliable, ben?

Invicta_Veritas 03-26-2006 11:28 PM
Your band is called For This I Bleed?

and the issue with that would be..................?

ATM 03-26-2006 11:32 PM
and the issue with that would be..................?
No offense, it just sounds kind of cliche.

Yea, we actually had a whole arguement about it when we decided on it.

It sounds very hardcore-ish, even though we are mainly striving for a gothenburg, melodeath sound (complete opposite). But The name itself has personal meaning to me, and we have a song with the same title that is also very personal......

We will most likely change our name after we are done with this album and have played some shows from it and have established ourselves more............................

PinkFreud 03-26-2006 11:37 PM

Probably be better to change it now, before you establish a solid fanbase. Less confusion this way, I would think.

The thing is, we already have a website, a demo, other songs we are working on, and album forthcoming, etc........it would be a b*tch because things are really picking up......

Riva 03-26-2006 11:39 PM

Why not For This I Bled?

Making it past tense is slightly more original.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-26-2006 11:40 PM

But it would be even harder when things have picked up more...

Shadows 03-26-2006 11:40 PM

Or, For This I Shall Bleed. Future tense is not only mysterious, but intriguing.

Invicta_Veritas 03-26-2006 11:41 PM

Can we redo our songs under the new name without legal hassles from former members (there was no contract in the beginning, and I write most of the music) ?

Also, if we're going to change our name, we might as well completely overhaul it, you know?

Riva 03-26-2006 11:42 PM

What about Shall I Bleed For This?.

Shadows 03-26-2006 11:43 PM

Or maybe This I Shall Bleed For?

Moses 03-26-2006 11:44 PM

How about this....

Bleeding From My Anus

or

Anal Seepeage

But yeah, I can help.

Invicta_Veritas 03-26-2006 11:46 PM

Did you get my email (more importantly, can you help at all)

Moses 03-26-2006 11:48 PM
How about We Could Not Decide On A Band Name; For This We Shall Bleed From The Anus
YES!!!

Sentances for band names ftw!!

Invicta_Veritas 03-26-2006 11:49 PM

Oh yea, that'll work.........

Our other one was going to be Mudshovel, then we decided against it because it's a major Staind song ripoff.

Then I suggested Mudhole, but it's not very death/ gothic......

Shadows 03-26-2006 11:52 PM
Then I suggested Mudhole, but it's not very death/ gothic......
That one does sound largely influenced by the almight anus.
