The fact that there's a last.fm profile for BtD doesn't bug me; I could care less. What's pathetic is that you guys, in all your "harmless fun", actually created a situation where I had to have our lawyer do something about it.

Eliminator 12-24-2007 06:05 PM

our our our

we we we

Nostalgia 12-24-2007 06:05 PM

Yeah you would get a lawyer.

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:08 PM
Yeah you would get a lawyer.
I already had one, thank you. Thankfully.

TojesDolan 12-24-2007 06:08 PM

The correct form is:

I couldn't care less

Yes, thank you for the grammar correction. I did indeed phrase it wrong.

you are such a tool.

And how is removing something that was uploaded to a profile representative of my music without my permission (and detrimental to it) in any way, shape, or form wrong?

Kage 12-24-2007 06:15 PM

You're the one wasting last.fm's time with lawsuits for a band with 35 plays that literally no one gives a shit about because there are photos that you yourself posted to the internet. Get over yourself.

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:16 PM

Again, my question stands.

Nostalgia 12-24-2007 06:18 PM

It's not that you're doing anything wrong, it's that you make a mountain out of a molehill. Who cares? Your band has 30 something plays on a music program. Big ****ing deal.

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:20 PM

Yes, but take , for example, a larger platform, such as BtD's myspace, which is much, much more frequently visited. Then people go to last.fm and see that crap. Shit spreads on the internet like wildfire; I have every right to snuff it out.

I'm not particularly worried about it since the matter is resolved; I simply wanted to make the point that it's all fun and games until you create real world situations. That is all.

gmoneyguy 12-24-2007 06:20 PM

I doubt he actually copyrighted his music.

Shattered_Future 12-24-2007 06:22 PM

I should do that eventually. Somebody could steal our programmed drum tracks!

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:23 PM
I doubt he actually copyrighted his music.
Assumptive, aren't we?

Contrary to popular belief, I do have some brains, and am aware of things I need to accomplish. Simply because none of you take it seriously doesn't mean I don't.

gmoneyguy 12-24-2007 06:24 PM

Well you're an idiot, and I still don't believe it.

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:24 PM

Suit yourself.

(...and try to steal my material while you're at it; see how far it gets you.)

Eliminator 12-24-2007 06:24 PM

damn i was going to totally rip off one of bled to death's signature riffs

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:25 PM

That wasn't my point.

Shattered_Future 12-24-2007 06:26 PM

Why else would you copyright your music then?

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:28 PM

What I mean is, my point wasn't that I'm deathly afraid of one of you stealing my music, because I know the half of you couln't care less. That wasn't the intent behind what I said in the last post.

Shattered_Future 12-24-2007 06:31 PM

Right, I'm aware of that. I'm just wondering if there was another reason why anybody would copyright music.

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:33 PM

Not especially. Your material is already copyrighted once you put it in tangible form, but registering your copyright gives you the right to sue for damages when someone rips it off. That's really the only benefit, but it's a good thing to do.

Plus, if you've already recorded something and want it released on a label, publisher, or distributor, many of them won't move forward until they know your stuff is registered. I had to register my stuff in order to be able to go ahead with my distribution deal. That's the only other incentive I can think of.

TojesDolan 12-24-2007 06:40 PM

I don't copyright because I'm mexican.

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:42 PM

Mexico doesn't have copright law? You can't be serious.

Shattered_Future 12-24-2007 06:43 PM

No, he's just Mexican. He doesn't do anything except mow my lawn.

TojesDolan 12-24-2007 06:45 PM

And everyone's lawn.

Nevertheless, copyright here is cheaper.

gmoneyguy 12-24-2007 06:45 PM

lmao, the hole gets deeper exponentially every time he posts.

TojesDolan 12-24-2007 06:49 PM

deeper and wider

gmoneyguy 12-24-2007 06:53 PM

Just like his brown eye.

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:55 PM

Me or Tojes? There wasn't anything wrong with (either of) my post (s).

gmoneyguy 12-24-2007 06:59 PM

Wow, my idiot point has been corroborated.

Valhall 12-24-2007 07:05 PM

Forgive me for not knowing anything about Mexico or Mexican law. How could I be so non-Mexican.

gmoneyguy 12-24-2007 07:08 PM

Just quit posting. You can't even comprehend posts.

Carn 12-24-2007 07:14 PM
We had to threaten to sue last.fm before they agreed to take down the artist picture that one of you people thought it was sooo funny to upload, and to block any non-artist authorised photo uploads to that profile. Even then, they won't get around to it until "after Christmas Break".

Thank you guys for wasting our time.
'threaten' ? I deal with this kind of stuff all the time and usually asking nice does the trick :)

i am the robots 12-24-2007 07:16 PM

Soup gice? I went out to dinner with my family. My sister's being slightly less bitchy than normal, it's kind of cool.

Eliminator 12-24-2007 07:17 PM

siblings get cooler when they're out of the house and live on their own

Kage 12-24-2007 07:18 PM

Elim has personal experience with this.

Aakon_Keetreh 12-24-2007 07:19 PM
