And, incidentally, I just read up the page a little and noticed that you just finished discussing this in brief with Gav. I guess I'm fashionably late.

Yup, it started a while back, when I realized that without an avatar, status thing, or signature (wayyyy back when they were enabled) that I wasn't really recognized. Plus, the darn thing is so cute! I could just look at it for hours! So yeah, I just started using it as a signature one day, and now sometimes when I am like writing emails, I'll accidentally press *space space space space space : amaze :* without even thinking about it...
