Never had a hot pocket. Unless you count school pizza pockets.

They always, no matter what, come out lukewarm and have funny tasting eggs

I got lots of praise from my guitar teacher today. I let him know that I had to take a few months off from my lessons, cause they're expensive, and he was cool with it cause he knows that I'll stick with guitar while I'm taking a break.

He basically told me he knows I'm good and progressing, and that he trusts that I won't blow it all.

Doesn't all that talk of food make you hungry?

Woodstock 02-08-2005 08:29 PM

I've never had a Hot Pocket.

Huber 02-08-2005 08:29 PM

Go get one. Right now. NOW!

Kurtz 02-08-2005 08:30 PM

Jalapeno steak and cheese Hot Pockets pwn.

Permanent Solution 02-08-2005 08:30 PM

I like the bigger hot pockets, but the small ones lack the quality of filling you up. Very disappointing.

How long have you been playing?
How long have you been playing?
5 years this August.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 08:33 PM

Now I feel bad. :upset:

Distant Echoes 02-08-2005 08:33 PM

i might be taking a break from drum lessons to take guitar lessons, since i can rip on guitar, but i dont know any scales (except to basics) or notes or whatever.

so im basically capable of playing anything on paper, but cant make a dam thing up to save my life

maybe a few pointers would help

magicbus 02-08-2005 08:43 PM

Learn theory and scales. That's what I've been doing for the last few months.

That's pretty cool :)

Did MX just go down for a few minutes?

Distant Echoes 02-08-2005 08:45 PM

it did for me

Yup, it did.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 08:47 PM

I just try to play what I hear in my head. Sometimes I have a lot of trouble, but other days I go crazy with ideas. I've only been playing for about a little over a year (teaching myself from my dad's books).

Simple Man 02-08-2005 08:48 PM

I got my accounts merged.

magicbus 02-08-2005 08:48 PM

Yea like I said, learning scales will make it a lot easier to play what's in your head, because then you know what notes to choose from. Its a lot easier than picking random notes of the fretboard.

Bartender 02-08-2005 08:49 PM
I got my accounts merged.
Congratulations.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 08:50 PM

When did you start playing guitar magicbus?

Simple Man 02-08-2005 08:50 PM

Haha, Thought'd I start a conversation.

You don't have to be so mean :/

Distant Echoes 02-08-2005 08:51 PM

I just learn the tab, and whatever the notes are following, i might innovate a little using the same notes in diffrent order, though that still doesnt sound that well anyway.

But i proved i have a basic understanding when i tabbed out the entire Great Gig in the Sky Vocal solo on the guitar.

thats a major life accomplishment for me

Distant Echoes 02-08-2005 08:53 PM
I got my accounts merged.
i dont want to sound like an idiot or nothin, but what does that mean?

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 08:54 PM

It was a huge deal to me when I learned my first Beatles song:D. Actually, my last big accomplishment was Wish You Were Here.

Distant Echoes 02-08-2005 08:56 PM

I love playing wish you were here...i should play it more, but whats great is i can sing to it too. Such a beutiful simple song

Bartender 02-08-2005 08:56 PM

I wasn't trying to be mean :-/

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 08:59 PM

Wish You Were Here was easier than I expected. So was Rock You Like A Hurricane. My brother says I am wasting my time on learning older songs.

magicbus 02-08-2005 09:01 PM

I started playing in August 2000.
