nice job dude. I changed the strings on my guitar for valentines day. And bought myself new sticks. Then, a section of the bridge on my guitar cracked, the actual metal cracked. I was pissed, it's a vintage floyd rose bridge, so I have this feeling it's going to be immensely hard to find a replacement part.

Double Bass Jim 02-16-2006 12:10 AM

Ahh that sucks, that kind guitar is it?

Motleyguy 02-16-2006 12:13 AM

a Kramer from the '80s. It hasa bunch of custom work done on it, I bought it from my old guitar teacher. It's a total 80's metal guitar, I love it, but now it's out of commission, hopefully it'll be easy to find a part.

Haha Kramers, If I see one it makes me wanna bust out hot for teacher.

Double Bass Jim 02-16-2006 12:21 AM

Haha kramer thats AWESOME.

Everyone in the 80's had kramers, they are "the 80's guitar" Even alex lifeson had some.

Get a kramer with a floyd in hot pink hahahaha = pure 80's cheese.

that's what mine looks like...except in ivory white, and it has different pickups (stacked humbucker at the neck) and the curves at the neck (arms if you will) are hollowed out and evil looking. I'll havta take pic and post it here for you kramer fans.

Double Bass Jim 02-16-2006 12:25 AM

Yeah lets see it man!

Motleyguy 02-16-2006 12:29 AM

Futuro 02-16-2006 12:36 AM

Ah whats that sticker for!? Other than that, Looks awsome.

Motleyguy 02-16-2006 12:40 AM

AFI is one of my favourite bands, have been for awhile, so I thought it was a fitting place to put it (2 years ago when I put it on, I sort of regret that decision now, as resale value has dropped)

Double Bass Jim 02-16-2006 12:45 AM

Thats awesome man! I dig the angled bucker at the bridge. Loose the sticker though!!!!

Motleyguy 02-16-2006 12:47 AM

i dont know how to lose it, with out making the finish look like ***. And, the angled bucker was the stock pickup, well then a different angled bucker got put it, and it's a stack humbucker at the neck, which sounds like ***.

Futuro 02-16-2006 12:54 AM
And, the angled bucker was the stock pickup, well then a different angled bucker got put it, and it's a stack humbucker at the neck, which sounds like ***.
Should replace your Pups. Is there wood in the way not letting you fit a normal Humbucker in the neck position?
i dont know how to lose it, with out making the finish look like ***.
Lighter fluid. Heh, I use that stuff for everything

My little practice rig ^^ I've got an alesis picoverb which is a nice unit running through it for reverb, chrous, flange, delay ect ect... The little amp sounds decent for being a solid state which for the most part is horrendus. It's an "analog modeling amp". The mesa and marshall sims are pretty close and the fender tweed is decent. With a touch of reverb added it sounds great for practice and the price. When I hear my buddys soldano though... It makes me want to smash everything I have into a million pieces haha, You cannot beat those things.

Lighter fluid. Heh, I use that stuff for everything
the bridge pickup sounds fine, it's an old Seymour Duncan, and I'm not so into playing guitar that I'm willing to shell out the cash for a new neck pickup right now, when Ihave money, it goes into my kit. I don't even have an amp right now. Anyways, about this lighter fluid...how do I go about using it to take a sticker off?

edit- ah Morley wah is good stuff. I have one of those, the bad horsie 2.

Anyways, about this lighter fluid...how do I go about using it to take a sticker off?
Ok, My friend in high school had a huge pink poney (Strip club) Sticker stuck to his moms car, Mid 90's galant. This old man who was teaching construction told us to pour lighter fluid on it so no residue or paint would get peeled off. Bottle of lighter fluid later Voila! Im not eaxactly sure what it does, But it worked....Given a car is much different than a guitar, It is worth a shot IMO.

it's a stacked humbucker, it sounds TERRIBLE!!! If I ever get around to replacing it, it will be a nice single coil.

Speaking of elec. engineers, my elec. engineering midterm went pretty awesome today! Some of the questions were exactly the same as those on the practice midterm. Go figure.

And how come no one on this entire forum ever seems to know how to remove stickers? IT'S NOT VERY HARD!!

Double Bass Jim 02-16-2006 01:17 AM

Ahh I already have someone. Besides people are garbage... Unlike some quality music 99% of people have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

I wouldnt mind delevering an Axe kick to most of the general public, take a look around you and if you look deep enough you'll find bad in everyone it's REAL easy to do.

Hopefully this isn't a double post, anyways...I generally agree. I'm in my last year of high school, and I dislike people in general. I don't even really like my friends all that much, they seem to have little to no morals, and don't really seem to care about making anything of their lives. People are idiotic, and gross.

Of course you will find it! I don't personally know you, but, I could find something "Bad" about you, And for damn sure you could find something bad with me! Doesn't mean either of us are Garbage.
