Yeah that's fine. As long as it stays in tune or is in tune when you play it, it's not a big deal but I like to have them straight.

I might be getting a new guitar when I can afford it, which will be WHEN I get a fricken job.

Yeah I certainly do.

It's not actually an Alexi sig since his guitar is based off of an ESP SV Standard:

http://images.google.co.uk/images?svnum=10&hl=en&safe=off&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=ESP+SV+Standard)&spell=1

this is just a basic normal version. Obviously his has the modifications that he asked for etc.

It costs £380ish I think which is real cheap. It's only avaliable in Finland though so if I get the money together and still decide I want it, I'll have to try and find a way to get it over here.

I love the yellow pinstripes.

repcak 08-01-2006 12:46 PM

yes this guitar is beautiful and the pinstripes are ... you couldn't choose a better guitar as a bodom fan :thumb:

my next guitar (though it won't be in the near future - and near future in this case = x>2yrs) will be a jackosn RR! but i don't know which one exactly. i once saw a jackson RR which had 24frets and looked very similar to the old wildchild guitar. i think i even posted i pick some months ago.

MRDuCran 08-01-2006 01:06 PM

Yeah I was considering an RR but I can't find any that I like except for Roope's old one that was broken with the green pinstripes.

The one Randy Rhoades used is horrible imo.

This one is ok but looks cheap:

This one the other hand is absolutely stunning:

And I posted this site which had some amazing ones:
http://jacksonstars.com/rrj2sp.html

I'd prefer those if they had pinstripes though.

This is Roope's old guitar:

The one Roope is holding here is also beautiful:

I'm not a huge fan on the gold hardware though.

repcak 08-01-2006 01:29 PM

... playing SN,BN (the last picture)

check out the RX-10 and paint the stripes yourself... a friend of my friend is building instruments... buy the color you want to have and paint the stripes.

MRDuCran 08-01-2006 01:56 PM

Hmm, that neck looks too cheap for my liking. I don't like the look of Rosewood anymore, only Maple and Ebony.

But to get anything like the guitars in my other post, you'd need to get a custom which I do not have the money for. :upset:

I highly recommend a Jackson RR. I was looking for a good metal axe with either a fixed or string thru bridge and I bought the RR5 for an amazing price. I absolutely love that guitar, gold hardware and all.

I love the look of the gold hardware when its on the white body. I'd like to get an RR, but I think I might get a Les Paul

Mine is transparent blue. I wasn't sure how it would look at first, but once I opened the box all I could do was . It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

The next guitar I buy will more than likely be a Les Paul. As aa aspiring jazz guitarist, Jacksons don't really have the versatile tone to play jazz.

repcak 08-01-2006 02:21 PM

jazz with a RR  that would look cool... haha

i just played Symphony X - Inferno (Unleash the Fire) at the speed as it should be -> 155bmp. but i can't say it for sure, cause i don't have a metronome but i will record it ... in september. don't have recording stuff right here at home. its nearly the speed of 155bmp, cause i compared the speed of my playing with the record :D (i only have to practise it with the metronome to play "in time")
and its even precise played... a little bit more practise and i will "nail" it :thumb:
... proof will follow in september

Storm In A Teacup 08-01-2006 02:35 PM

I used to not care much for these guys, but after hearing a few songs they seem really cool.

repcak 08-01-2006 02:41 PM

what songs did you hear?

IheartSP 08-01-2006 02:55 PM
Here's an interesting little tidbit for all you out there. I just created this myself using Audacity, I figured anyone who doesn't know about this already will find it pretty interesting.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=C051DE427DF0A6F5

The first part is the solo from Wrath Within by Children of Bodom. The second is the solo in Concrete Malformation by Stone.

Mods I think this is a legal upload becuause it is only an excerpt from each song, not the full thing.
For anyone who missed it...

AA-12 08-01-2006 03:03 PM

Mitch, I got the BBE Sonic Maximizer today, so in a day or two once I get a feel for it i'll make some videos/soundclips of it with and without it on.

MRDuCran 08-01-2006 03:14 PM

Nice one bruva. :thumb:

AA-12 08-01-2006 03:17 PM

This thing is great so far man. It really tightens everything and brings the sound out a lot.

MRDuCran 08-01-2006 03:21 PM

Yeah I have a Sonic Maximizer on this computer than I use in conjunction with Cool Edit Pro and Beatcraft, thanks for Forlorn Hope for sending it.

I use it on the drums and it really does brighten everything up. I'm guessing the effect on a guitar would be different if it's the real thing though.

Forlorn Hope 08-01-2006 10:47 PM

I enjoy the Sonic Maximizer a lot. I just run the whole song through it when Im done with everything and it makes everything sound a ton better.

If anyone else wants it just give me your email.

that sounds awesome, you should put it on the daily upload.

AA-12 08-01-2006 11:40 PM

wtf, Mitch is banned?

Forlorn Hope 08-01-2006 11:47 PM

Wonder why...

i hate smirnoff ice god 08-02-2006 12:14 AM

Theres a user called smirnoff ice god, and he keeps making annoying threads in the Guitar forum so I felt like helping in a theroy thread but I wasnt typing properly so it must have looked like spam. I also wrote "i'm bored of this" maybe making it look a little more so.

So here's my special account.

AA-12 08-02-2006 12:16 AM

Yes! Unban. It's an outrage. I call for a demodding of the guilty mod.

AA-12 08-02-2006 03:31 AM

Wow, he's banned again. That's kind of ridiculous.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-02-2006 03:33 AM

Maybe whichever mod it was though his second account was actually smirnoff ice god's secondary. Seems likely to me.

Prince Charming 08-02-2006 03:36 AM

Nah. He's posted in guitar for quite a while. Plus IP's wouldn't match. If any decent mod thought that, he'd check IP's.

heh. I'm behaving myself and not banned, for like a new world record now. Everyone else just gets banned for no reason.
