No they became really popular and huge after the Black Album. He did great things for Metallica, but he's not necessarily the reason they are popular (don't get me wrong, he impacted them enormously)

You don't really get it do you, Metallica had so much talent and CLIFF DIED. They didn't throw it all away, as far as I'm concerned when it comes to guitar and drum skills ...AJFA is their best album.

I know I'm a day late but I couldn't get to a computer yesterday. I did learn a good portion of Orion on my guitar and I think that cliff would understand. He really was a nice guy. Even if he couldn't bring back bellbottoms. :lol: :upset:

Also in memory of him, I've convinced some of the guys in my garage band class to do a Misfits cover that I want to dedicate to him. In my MOP book there's a pic of him playing a show and he has the Misfits logo tattooed on his right shoulder. I take it he was a big fan of them so we're gonna do a cover of the Misfits' 'Dig Up Her Bones'. (Just realized the morbid irony in that, but then again cliff would have probably still found it hilarious)


So from a HUGE fan of yours........CLIFF WE LOVE AND MISS YOU VERY MUCH. YOU WERE A GREAT INSPIRATION TO A WHOLE GENERATION OF FANS AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE BASSIST.
