I assume 'the hurting' was you showing your vast knowledge of emo by telling me that Blink 182 invented the genre?

Its not a made up genre. So many bands fall into the spectrum that you have to call them the new wave of metal. They are NO WAY NEAR thrash, NO WAY NEAR metal, and NO WAY NEAR anything worth listening too.
