cheers, they both look do-able

JACKROXYOU 04-30-2005 03:16 PM
I agree with the other guy. Take the megadeth BS to their thread. There is a reason there are 2 seperate threads for each bands. If you dont like metallica, stop bitching and go to megadeth thread. I dont like megadeth and I dont go flaming them in their thread.

Just because kirk does leads in metallica doesn't necessarily mean he's better than hetfield. They're both great, but overall james is much more skilled than kirk.
yea

but i give prps to kirk

NEW TOPIC: Bass guitar on the Justice album. Do you think it was recorded?

I personally don't think it's recorded, it's simply not there.

And I know that SOMEBODY is going to act like he's all smart and be like "Turn on the bass function on your CD player and there's bass!" because you're a fool. Bass is the lower end of anything, from the snare drum to the bass drum to the guitars to the vocals. Bass guitar is a guitar that specifically brings out this range. Bass and bass guitar are NOT one and the same. I'm talking about BASS GUITAR, not the low end of your voice.

It is there I've read interviews with Newsted talking about recording it.

Yes it was. You can hear it if you listen very closely.

vashts80 04-30-2005 07:36 PM

I PLAY bass and I can hear bass, I cannot hear the bass at all. It amazes me.

willis2441 04-30-2005 07:50 PM

yeah you cant really hear tyhe bass in AJFA,but jason is still a vey skilled bassist

ThrashMaster27 04-30-2005 08:19 PM

Indeed he is. The first F & J album is great and shows how good his Basswork is.

vashts80 04-30-2005 08:28 PM

I haven't been able to get his work with F&J, only the stuff from after he joined 'tallica. :\

Mind sending it? :x

flamesofbodom 04-30-2005 08:29 PM

whats F & J?

vashts80 04-30-2005 08:36 PM

Flotsam and Jetsam, one of the bands Jason was in before Metallica.

flamesofbodom 04-30-2005 08:39 PM

I love that band. I didnt know he was in it. I learned something today...

ThrashMaster27 04-30-2005 10:32 PM

I would upload some if I had the CD, but I don't. Might be a bit tricky burning a vinyl to the computer, a vinyl that's not even mine! call myself a fan eh? I only have Desecrator on MP3 format and that's from the official site.

Jason is now on Voivod, right?

ThrashMaster27 04-30-2005 10:43 PM

Correct. Jasonic I think he's named in Voivod.

Huber 04-30-2005 10:53 PM

What about Echobrain? Whatever they were playing in SKOM seemed pretty cool.

fatbandit 05-01-2005 06:18 AM

He left Echobrain to be their manager, as they were fed up of being the band with Metallica's ex-bassist in.

cliff solos for all 05-01-2005 08:20 AM

did anyone else think echobrian were good i didnt

RustedPieces 05-01-2005 08:36 AM

No. Echobrain was garbage.

metalcritter666 05-01-2005 12:32 PM
I thought it was very good, master of puppets and fuel was awesome
yea, Master of Puppets, Fuel, No leaf Clover, and One are the best songs on there. it's the best version of One i have ever heard

munky_magik 05-01-2005 12:59 PM

The orchestral arrangments on S&M, for the most part, were abysmal.
They sounded so badly like a tacky afterthought instead of being incorporated into the songs.
