I'll post a Byrds song in a minute.
|
Yeah, The Byrds were a perfect example of great country rock.
Radio country does indeed suck. It has to be mixed with rock.
Any suggestions? The closest I have come to country is probably Marshall Tucker Band. |
I dunno. but one thing's for sure...
Using the ">" sing to make your opinion clear > not using the ">" sign to make you opinion clear.
2562x > 646456y+89x Yes Country mainstream does indeed suck. (today) |
Can someone send me "8 Miles High"?

Some Steve Earle, Blues Rodeo and The Byrds will do well. |

I liked the WP mp3's that you posted. |
Oh Shi, forgot Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and The Flying Burrito Brothers.

I know all of the more popular ones you listed. And I found out about the Flying Burrito Brothers after watching the Festival Express DVD. You catch that yet? |
/puts on Johnny Cash's Drive On
|
I've seen parts. I don't own it so I haven't gotthe chance to see it all.
|
Roger McGuinn is pretty amazing.
I have a Byrds greatest hits compilation its pretty great, but that's about all I need. |
Crosby was the one from CSN&Y who was in the Byrds, right?

My cousin started listening to The Band. :upset:
Here's the story on him: He takes everything I've ever done, and starts doing it. I started guitar, he picked it up a month later. I started listening to Classic Rock, he started copying me. He would've never heard of Zeppelin, Floyd, Cream, The Doors, Yes, or The Who without me. Luckily he's only picked the common CR bands. Basically he's a faggot. Today he tells me that he bought a greatest hits cd of The Band from Best Buy. He's never heard a song by them. I made the mistake of mentioning The Last Waltz in front of him, and it was over. He would've never found out about them, ever, in his life, if I didn't tell him about that movie. And now he knows. Everyone I ask has never heard of The Band (except for you guys), and now my cousin knows them. My life is over. I am actually enraged right now, seeing red if you will. :upset: On a side note, I rule his ass at guitar, and I will always have that on him. |

One of my friends got some Led Zeppelin CD's at the weekend and I thought "I hate him now" -my conscience-"smack the CD's out his hand, ruin it for everyone, do it do it do it DO IT!!" It's weird. Plus, he still isn't as good as you..HE GOT A GREATEST HITS!! |
/has read the last 20+ pages
/has missed 15+ conversatrions he could have participated in /has listened to Stranges Days and half of Waiting for the Sun while reading the 20+ pages /yesterday watched The Doors Live in Europe 1968 The DVD was short but sweet. |
Waiting For The Sun, is so underated, it's criminal.
/FA on Doors.. |
It's funny how we seem to want to encourage people to listen to classic rock, then if they try to we get angry for some reason. (I'm not making fun of you guys, because the same thing happens to me when my friends try to do it.)
Sweet, they already cancelled school tomorrow. Quad deuces. |

Opinions on MP3?

If Magicbus is angry at him, then we should all be angry. Let's kick his ass. |

It was alright. I wasn't overly fond of it, but it was a good listen. |

I would, but I'm tired. |
What do you guys think are some of the best album intros(the first song)? I think we should make a list or something.
