That's what I do. I'm smart enough to know that it's obviously unhealthy to eat their a lot.
And the chicken selects, even though advertised to be healthier than Chicken McNuggets actually have more calories, sodium, and carbs than the chicken nuggets.

Those aren't very good anyway, I don't get them.
Those aren't very good anyway, I don't get them.
Yeah I had them once and they weren't really good.

Has anyone had that triple shamrock shake?

That was gross.

ATM 04-16-2005 06:11 PM

I'm off to see Sin City again lmao

3rd time

Peace all.

Permanent Solution 04-16-2005 06:12 PM

/me was playing guitar
I always use 10's. I have pretty good equipment so it isn't too muddled but changing the tuning every few days is probably bad for my neck...meh.

Have fun. It rules.

Otherside 04-16-2005 06:15 PM

I want to see it again, but it probably wont be for a while.

lunch998 04-16-2005 06:17 PM

I've seen it twice, but probably won't see it again for awhile.

magicbus 04-16-2005 06:17 PM

The second time I saw it, it was still cool, but it wasn't as shocking, because I knew what was going to happen. Still badass though.

I'll probably wait until it's out on DVD to see it again.

MYR 04-16-2005 06:18 PM

So, on a scale of 1-10 how good is it?

Otherside 04-16-2005 06:20 PM

Hmm... 9/10 I'm thinking.

magicbus 04-16-2005 06:20 PM

10, but I might be over-generous when it comes to movies. I thought it was great.

lunch998 04-16-2005 06:21 PM

I'm in that range also. It's just a really cool movie.

Otherside 04-16-2005 06:24 PM

The only (small) problem I had with was the lack of a over-all plot. Not that I didn't enjoy the individual stories, I think they were wonderfully done, and they all intertwined nicely, it's just at times I was wishing there was some over-all goal or w/e. It was still great, though.

Endless Obsession 04-16-2005 07:33 PM

Whos all in it and what is it about?

RiceMonster 04-16-2005 08:44 PM

I still need to see Sin City :(. It looks freakin' awsome. Hopefully I can see it soon.

Kingofdudes 04-16-2005 08:48 PM

My friends went to see it a while back. I was at work :-/

Illmatic 04-16-2005 08:49 PM

Third time for Sin City?

dizzamn.

Illmatic 04-16-2005 08:56 PM

Have your parents come yet, Jom?

Iron Man 04-16-2005 08:58 PM

I'm coming on just to announce that I got a new CD and it rules. But it's not rock or metal.

Blackmore's Night - Under a Violet Moon

Female fronted folk, I love it. Not like anything else on my playlist.

Jom 04-16-2005 08:58 PM

Oh yeah. That was the extent of my day, actually. It was a good day

Illmatic 04-16-2005 08:59 PM

What'd you all do?

Hey man.

I been wanting to check them out for some time, but what kind of folk is it?

IE : Swedish, Celtic etc etc...

Hmm, not quite sure because I don't listen to much folk. Although it seems to have a very 1600's-ish European feel to it.

Never heard of them. Mind Yousendifing a song or two?

Illmatic 04-16-2005 09:18 PM

That sounds nice. Glad you let your family in on the roomie-bashing.

I have brought next to nothing to college, on account of being over a thousand miles away.

Nope, I'm doing one now

Jom 04-16-2005 09:24 PM

Heh, yeah, it was good times.

As for me, I brought EVERYTHING, because he told me over the summer that he was poorer. So I was like, you know, fine. Whatever.

Well, he abused my stuff: rusted out two pots, broke some silverware, among other things, the whole egg exploding in my microwave incident, etc.

Well, everything is gone now, basically... so if he needs something, he can bring stuff up on his own. I wouldn't use anything. Heh. Good times.

My family is really close, even though I dislike my extended family.

I don't blame you for not bringing anything, though. What inspired you to go to U of I? Scholarships/location/friends/programs/etc.?

My family is really close too, but I'm talkin about my whole family (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc).

I came here because it was a big state school, where I would feel comfortable, they offered to pay most of my tuition (and it's a relatively inexpensive school to begin with), and it was close to Chicago (I was interested in DePaul, but DePaul would have cost more). It's strong in journalism, and even though I don't think I want to major in it anymore, it's not a specialist school, so I'm not screwed. I had some cousins there too, which helped.

EDIT: Also, the best basketball team in the Big Ten :)

Jom 04-16-2005 09:38 PM

Hahaha, can't forget that last edit :)

Thanks for the explanation, I was just curious about why you wouldn't want to go to BU or BC or anything.

RiceMonster 04-16-2005 09:40 PM

Thank's a lot Iron Man, this song is truely ass kicking. I love her voice, and everything about it actually.

Edit: I really like the organ section. Crap, I have to get more stuff like this, and by this band.

Illmatic 04-16-2005 09:40 PM

With all due respect to BU and BC, I had spent ten years of my life in Boston and I liked it a lot, but I wanted to be closer to where I felt my home was.

Tom Brady is on SNL. Yee haw. The episode is gonna suck, but I just like Tom Brady.

EDIT: Dear lord, he's singing. This can't possibly be good.

I agree with every thing in this post.

This is a perfect example of folk like music that I have been looking for.

Ahh, I operated under the assumption that you considered Boston your first home, but I realized that this is faulty because your family was from Chicago-area (er, well, your father was, I remember).

My mom and dad were both from Chicago.

Cain 04-16-2005 09:51 PM

Iron Man, that track was outstanding.

For additional lilting, awesomely produced Celtic music, I reccommend checking out this duo: Jeff Johnson and Brian Dunning. They have a beautiful, New Age/Celtic sound, and one song, called "The Dream of Talesin," nearly makes me weep every time I hear it. It's wonderfully ambient and cool.
