Armageddon is a damn fine song.

I've been listening to FHTI a lot over the past few days, I'd forgotten how good it was.

Oz Rembrandt 05-09-2006 09:43 AM

Armageddon! Let the Light in!
Before we say goodbye, give us something to believe in!

Yeah, I love that song.

poprocks&coke 05-09-2006 02:12 PM

I'm bumming over Hell Yes at the moment.

Oz Rembrandt 05-09-2006 02:47 PM

Yeeeeeah BOI!

In Lillies Case, girl. Hell Yes is the secks.

Ross 05-09-2006 03:31 PM

Oh God, we caught Oz in one of those moods <_<

I'm still staring at Borders and Boundaries, I really should just put it in my bag. But oh! The suspense you must feel!

Untitled 05-10-2006 01:35 PM

I finished my Alk-3 huge enormus billboard/poster thing today.

Its not an album cover as planed, but i might take a photo of the work, and use that as the album cover, which would look ace.

Oz Rembrandt 05-10-2006 02:37 PM

Tomorrow, i will post.

I didnt put them up today because my teacher forgot the drill.

I made a new sign, originaly it was my big pictures of my mate, and a sign that says "alkaline trio"

But now, it says " Alkaline trio, live, Church and destroy" on 3 seperate peaces. I used the name you suggested too :chug:

Angry Balled Fists! 05-15-2006 02:28 PM

Oz Rembrandt 05-16-2006 12:38 PM

This Could be Love...

Love for Fire!

Untitled 05-16-2006 03:33 PM

Why thank you, im mad in love with it.

And yes, i definatly did it myself, the 2 people pictures took me about 20 hours or more to do each.

Ross 05-16-2006 04:00 PM

Wow, I want it. And I'm not even mad about Alk3.

Untitled 05-16-2006 04:03 PM

Well you cant, its at college, and i wont even see it agian untill about christmas i think. Im gonna have to dismantel it and bring it home then.

Ross 06-07-2006 09:22 AM

*bump*

Ok, so I'm labelling up my music collection. According to Amazon: Good Mourning, From Here To Infirmary and Maybe I'll Catch Fire were all released within about a week of eachother in 2003. Obviously they were re-released at this time, and Amazon appear to have no other dates. The official site is refusing to load.

Anyone got the real release years? I'm a git for wanted all my music sorted out.

EDIT: Never mind. The official site finally decided to load, damned flash.

Angry Balled Fists! 06-07-2006 09:56 AM

I'm getting a bit more back into them now.

I've been listening to GM quite alot recently.

Polyamarous 06-07-2006 12:21 PM

I'm liking the TSOL cover.

Hi My Name Is Mark 06-07-2006 03:51 PM

what do you guys think would be a good alk3 song for my ska band to cover? preferably with little to no swearing or at least something we can change...i was kind of thinking Maybe I'll Catch Fire, but i wanna know you guys' opinions on it...

If you wanna hear a sample of a little bit of what we sound like, our first song we wrote and recorded is on our myspace

http://www.myspace.com

we have 2 more songs finished and we're working on more (we've only been together for a little bit) and some of our stuff is definately darker and better than the song we have up. we need to get the newest song recorded, it's so sick. and there's a fill i came up with by watching derek on the halloween DVD

Ross 06-07-2006 04:09 PM

can you give a full myspace link so I can have a listen? :amaze:

I think This Could Be Love could work as a ska song. Have the horns playing the lead guitar riff, and change the guitar parts a bit. It could work out I guess.
That was the first one that came to mind.

Oops, my bad!

http://www.myspace.com/riotonbroadway

Sorry about that...

Ross 06-08-2006 09:27 AM

With better recording quality, that'd be a lot better. But it's ok, for a first song :)

Hi My Name Is Mark 06-08-2006 01:14 PM

yeah i want drum mics for recording the drums...but i'm poor...and i feel like guitar and bass (quality-wise) sound good, and vocals are alright...we need some gain on his vocals though and he might take vocal lessons sometime in the near future...and we need a way to record trombone better....we're looking for a trumpet player but it's hard to find someone who's good at trumpet that we'd get along with

chumpradio 06-15-2006 02:08 PM

Hear a song from Matt's side project. I knew he was in Heavens, but I didn't know they had an album coming out. This song is alright, I like how it's different to the Trio, yet it is still obviously Matt.

Hi My Name Is Mark 06-15-2006 02:45 PM

i like that a lot...any certain reason they're w/ epitaph? i'd think they'd be on vagrant or asian man

Bad Blood 06-15-2006 02:46 PM

Sweet, I didnt know about that.

chumpradio 06-15-2006 02:49 PM

It probably has something to do with Joe Seinbrick that they are on Epitaph. No idea who he is though.

spoon_of_grimbo 06-15-2006 04:06 PM

listning to goddammit now, loving it.

why is it that this band consign their best songs to compilations and b-sides. best examples being "warbrain" and "jaked on green beers"!?!?!

Hi My Name Is Mark 06-15-2006 09:02 PM

cause theyre ****ing awesome like that. they're allowed to.

Oz Rembrandt 06-16-2006 09:55 AM

Aaah Jaked on Green Beers... the Ultimate Anti-Love Song.

I've been neglecting the Trio recently...

Same here.

nobodyblossomsforever 06-16-2006 11:36 AM

I don't listen to much Alk Trio.

Any recomendations?

Untitled 06-16-2006 11:46 AM

Personaly, i think From Here To Infermy is there best, so i would recomend that, i also think Good Mourning would be a good start.

DJ Ducksauce 06-16-2006 11:47 AM

Crimson is a great album too. More refined than the others. The first whole album that I listened to by them actually.
