This thread isn't about hair.

cheeser_1 07-01-2005 10:41 PM

grab a bit of hair
hold it out like a spike
hairspray it
blow dry it
repeat

for curly/thick hair:
use glue as necessary for added structure/support. blow dry this as well.

Revolution is a French word, Revolución is the Spanish version. I doubt Che Guevara spoke French.

Anarchy&Peace 07-01-2005 10:48 PM

can someone help me with polishing boots, I can never get them shiny no matter how much I polish them, can some one help me with telling me a better technique for polishing them?

Meat 07-03-2005 04:29 PM

So, anyone have suggestions on studs to get? I'm just looking for the cheapest, I don't care which. Does it really matter?

Use good quality shoe polish, make sure you are following the directions properly etc. You may have a leather on your boots that doesn't really shine that well, it's naturally dull. You could try adding a little water to the polish, that sometimes gives it a shine.

Anxious 07-03-2005 04:48 PM

I'm thinking of making a captain beefheart patch, but i suck at making stencils.

I use kiwi, and I do I dip the rag in a little water then the polish, and I give it a few coats...it happens on all of my boots, I have 3 pairs (1 leather and 2 of that fake leather stuff) so its not just the leather...

hmm you can have my awesome idea of taking string, then cutting up colorful straws and using them as beads.

SantaDuJuan 07-07-2005 08:26 AM

Nah, I'm half gay.
Not totally.

Jessizzle 07-07-2005 08:33 AM

Ohhh, I really like the braclet I got, It was Livestrong, and it says Never Alone, Its 2 meanings in one. :)
Yeah, braclets are pretty cool, but if you wear more than 3 at a time, its stupidd.

Scabies 07-07-2005 09:28 AM

I hate livestrong bands.

''Oh i'm gonna wear a wristband to pretend i care about something because it's the latest fad!!''

Lame.

I used to feel like that, but iv always soupported Cancer Researchers due to my family history and I have a good chance of getting it.
It really bugged me when this girl was showing this girl beside me her braclet, and it was a fake one! the money dosnt even go to cancer.
But Cancer is something my boyfriend feels stronly about and same with me, so we wear them.

You can just give them money without getting a braclet. That way you can help someone out and not be so trendy.

Jessizzle 07-07-2005 12:34 PM

Glass_Hero 07-07-2005 12:37 PM

cheeser_1 07-07-2005 10:57 PM

anybody know what kind of paint/pen/whatever works best on fabric (especially that might holdup in a washing machine or at least through a hand washing)?

TheNowhereman42 07-07-2005 11:02 PM

Fabric paint I'd assume, and dark colored sharpies seem to work on really light colored clothes.

Brain Toad 07-07-2005 11:29 PM

Sharpies work and only fade over time, so you may have to reapply after like 30 washes.
