i don't. having to pay my own way and having a 100% scholarship to any state school in florida led me to stay in florida. the only two cities that are more than college towns and therefore have jobs to offer are st. petersburg / tampa area and orlando, and since i already lived in st. petersburg, i just stayed here and went to University of South Florida. which is not a very good school, but i'll just go to a good law school to make up for it. haha.
Since everyones already discussing books anyone wanna reccomend me some books to get, I'll need some for the summer since I can never sleep, so I'm going to stock up sometime soon. I know I'm getting all the Chuck Palahniuk ones that I haven't got but I'm not sure what else to get. I might get some stuff by Kurt Vonnegut too because I read Timequake and I enjoyed it alot, but I'm not sure what else to get by him because he has so much stuff out.
Chuck is good. I'm reading Lullaby right now. Good stuff.

sink sink 07-24-2005 06:27 PM

Which Orchid album should I get? I'm picking between "Gatefold" or the "Chaos Is Me/Dance Tonight!" combined thingy.

natefitforbattle 07-24-2005 06:45 PM

definitely chaos is me/dance tonight! revolution tomorrow!

BuddyBigsby 07-24-2005 08:39 PM

Chaos is me/DTRT without a doubt.

Wow 07-24-2005 08:41 PM

Gatefold fails in comparison to CIS/DTRT.

sink sink 07-24-2005 09:34 PM

This is what I've reading, I'll be getting CIS/DTRT.

Chiller_Than_Most 07-24-2005 10:10 PM

Gatefold is my favorite Orchid album, but I'm alone in that one.

Hot Cross new for anyone who cares

HOT CROSS NEWSLETTER 7/25/05
Body: Hey Everyone -

It has been a busy summer for us even though everything we are doing is kinda behind the scenes. The songwriting process is going really well and we are all exicted with the new matieral.. Currently we have about 5 complete new songs. We would ideally like to have 16 before we go into record sometime this winter.. Most likely early December.

The tentative plan is to record with Kurt Ballou at God City in Massachusetts. He has worked with our friends in Transistor Transistor and Gospel and both of those records sound so amazing, that we think he is the ideal person for us to work with. When we have actually booked the time with him, and everyhting is confirmed you guys will be the first to know.

Check out our merch at http://www.shirtkiller.com There will be new designs going up regularly and you will be able to find t shirts, hoodies, girly shirts, even tote bags. Whatever you want our dopey logo on, you can get. Help us out with our debts!!! :).

We have some shows coming up next weekend with our buddies in Gospel. We are excited to get back out and play out a little. It has been a while. You may or may not hear new songs! It depends on how practice goes this week and how clumsy we are. Here are the shows!

for years i have been listening to my music on $20 computer speakers and an old bookshelf cd player that i don't even have the remote for, so i decided to upgrade my audio setup. just finished ordering the stuff off the internet. i can't wait.

i'll now have a turtlebeach montego soundcard. that will encode all pc audio (most importantly music) to a dolby digital signal on the fly. that will then be transmitted to an onkyo 503 surround reciever via a digital optical connection. the onkyo reciever will feed athena point 5 mkII surround speakers(4 satellite speakers and a center), which won the "sound and vision reviewers choice awards", whatever the hell that is. i'm just assuming that means they're really good. in addition to the athenas, i ordered a dayton 12" 150 watt sub to complete the 5.1 system. to replace the cd player, i ordered a panasonic 5 disc dvd/cd changer with a bunch of cool features like improving the audio quality of mp3s. that'll connect to the onkyo through a coaxial digital connection so i can switch over from computer audio to cd audio with a remote.

but maybe the coolest thing i ordered is the dolby digital 6 speaker surround headphones that i can connect to either the soundcard or reciever via digital optical connection for dolby digital surround when its late and i dont' want to wake anybody up.

i'm just really excited and wanted to share, lol.

-1up!- 07-26-2005 09:52 AM

Just put a CTTS CD in there and freak out.

Seriously, I'd like a kickass audio system too :upset:
