i went in reverse (which is the correct way, honestly), cause without Godspeed i probably would never have liked EiTS.
Same situation here. Godspeed, being the original should be appreciated before moving on to their successors. I still personally prefer GY!BE over EitS anyway...

Tangy zizzle 01-09-2005 11:58 PM

I didn't really mean the post-rock originators (that goes to Slint and Talk Talk), but the originators of the style that GY!BE and EitS both possess. A style of a more orchestral rock sound within the genre.

I finally got my grubby little hands on a copy of "Psychocandy". I'm only on track 2, but it's been good so far.

The Ashtray Girl 01-11-2005 01:52 PM

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Master Arkam Kannon again.

Today I loved Kasabian and Muse - Showbiz.

still_ur_heart 01-11-2005 02:19 PM

I didnt like Interpol's Antics when I first bought it, but now after listening to it alot, it has really grown on me. Um it's nice to kinda listen to while I'm asleep. hahaha no pun intended...and I am listening to more Postal Service and the rest of the Garden State soundtrack. It's nice.

orange peel 01-11-2005 03:30 PM

Today Elliott Smith has been gracing my headphones.

Happymeal 01-11-2005 05:22 PM

Four people with 1 post on this page. w0w.

I'm liking Mithras' Forever Advancing... Legions, Lykathea Aflame's Elvenefris and Cave In's Until Your Heart Stops.

I still can't find Origin of Symmetry ANYWHERE in stores. I've been wanting to buy it for oh so long now.

Tangy zizzle 01-11-2005 05:55 PM

Why?

Happymeal 01-11-2005 06:05 PM

I really don't know what's up with the stores here. I've seen all their other releases(Hullabaloo included), but I just can't seen to find Origin. I did see one in downtown Toronto last month, but it was a Japanese import, worth $50CN.

Tangy zizzle 01-11-2005 06:08 PM

Just burn it, the artwork is nothing great and be honest, it's Muse.

Happymeal 01-11-2005 06:17 PM

Yeah, I'll get that mentality once I buy a Creative Zen for me birthday next month. I'll probably only buy rare/cheap discs from now on. My wallet really takes a beating when I hang out in Sunrise or HMV every week.

pure_ramdomness@hotmail.com 01-11-2005 06:23 PM

How Could anyone disslike the libertines-up the bracket???

Tangy zizzle 01-11-2005 06:27 PM

Oooh I know, I know!!

It's a really really bad record?

pure_ramdomness@hotmail.com 01-11-2005 06:30 PM

Why do you think its a really bad record, construtive argument???

Tangy zizzle 01-11-2005 06:34 PM

Because of that small thing caleld taste. The album, and the band itself (also it's "cool" rockstar antics) do not appeal to me at all.

I have made better music on my harmonica.

pure_ramdomness@hotmail.com 01-11-2005 06:39 PM

well i can certainly tell your a very angry person, but if thats not your taste, then far enough, thats cool, so what bands are you in or listen to at the mo, have you heard of a band called neils children???

Tangy zizzle 01-11-2005 07:12 PM
